    Oooh! Love Split Pea Soup, especially with some homemade sourdough bread right out of the oven! My husband is quite the baker, and we enjoy all sorts of yummy breads! Thanks for the inspiration on this cold afternoon!

    Great recipe for a cold winters day, thanks Susan. I have a cushion and a poem with the title :There are fairies at the bottom of our garden, had it for many years, it is one of my favorite ones.

    Sounds yummy – same ingredients as the Dutch Ertwensoupe we used to love getting when we lived in the Netherlands!
    I made your Corn Pudding recipe last night as a side dish for a Garlic and Herb Roast Pork Tenderloin – husband LOVED it (me too)!
    Also Susan may I say that each recipe in your books is also a BEAUTIFUL watercolor and work of art. Reading them is a feast for my eyes! Thank you for all of the effort you put into doing them – your joy comes through and thank you for sharing that to! I found myself humming a song while getting it ready last night and I could not remember the last time I did that! You are a Blessing to me!

    Love your recipe, time to make it again! My Dad used to make split pea soup, I’m smiling whilst remembering! He nor Mom nor I ever wrote down what he did – a little of this & a little of that, but we always loved it! Your recipe is a close 2nd, sorry honey, but if he had never made his soup, yours would be the 1st! 🙂 xoxo
