I promised you “a surprise” in my last post (about a hundred years ago, oh my goodness, I’m so late)! MUSICA (nice old Frank)🎶 I don’t usually start things off with a photo of me, but I had to make an exception to add oomph to my explanation for why I’ve been away so long! In the photo, I’m dressed and on my way to give a talk at Island Writes, but you may notice something not quite right.
Yeah, why is she wearing that black glove? What an odd-looking glove. Hey, that’s not a glove! No. It. Is. Not. It is a (stupid) cast for a broken wrist. A broken right wrist. The hand that does everything. So anyway, I broke it a little over a month ago while packing up things for the yard sale. Tripped over bags, hand-to-floor, caught myself, the end. Which also ended the infamous yard sale for this year. Ended almost everything, because I had no idea what all this hand did until I lost it. Besides typing, writing, and painting, it opens cat food cans, washes hair, signs books, holds a freaking fork, puts on earrings, uses scissors, deadheads roses, DRIVES, and chops onions. Hello. At first I couldn’t do any of it, I gave my brain a new kind of workout by practicing writing with my left hand, but one-by-one I’ve been getting things back. And Look Ma, I’m typing! I think I MIGHT get the brace off Sept. 14, my Doctor keeps little secrets to himself, I’ve learned, but I am hoping! It wasn’t a bad break, no surgery; I glowed like a 7 year old when he called me a “good patient.” It’s the little things in life. Yes, physical therapy will follow, but I’ve been doing exercises to keep my arms strong, so I hope normalcy returns soon. Thank goodness for Joe! He’s been taking such good care of me!
But I promised you surprises, and you’re going to get surprises! 🌸 Our Courage Charm has arrived . . . isn’t it wonderful? Gold with a streak of pink that goes all the way around. Pink, the color of nurturing, for yourself, and for others. The color of love.💝
It comes on its own little card . . . the charm is engraved with the words “Courage, Dear Heart . . .”💞
Thought you’d like to see my bracelet . . . I think I have them all so far!
And this? This is not for sale! This surprise of all four-seasons of my cups (which are all sold-out and no longer available anywhere on earth), is for the lucky person whose name gets drawn by Vanna in the next post! I told you I would have surprises! Just leave a comment, and you’ll be entered! It can be for you, or maybe you’ll want to take it apart and make four Christmas 🎄 presents out of it! Leave a comment!’Tis almost the season! Here comes
And this? This is for everyone! A brand new bookmark for all my Anglophile, Corgie-adoring, Queen-admiring girlfriends and the people they love! Just click HERE, print it on card-stock, have it laminated if you like . . . it makes a very sweet stocking stuffer or book-gift accountrement.(In case you’re new here, the bookmark is tucked into a copy of my book A Fine Romance, Falling in Love with the English Countryside.)
And what else? Oh yes, for everyone that preordered and waited so patiently, I’m thrilled to tell you the new cups are scheduled to arrive in California TOMORROW, on Thursday! And yes, I ordered extra so we would have some to last through Christmas, just in cases. The heart cup is another Courage item. The world is so wild these days, we need as much of this as we can get. And there’s another secret about this cup . . .💞
I didn’t design it! I designed a red cup with hearts on it which Joe thought was a little boring, and said, “Why don’t you make it look like champagne?” I said, naturally, “What are you talking about?” He tried to tell me, but I couldn’t picture it, was running out to lunch with girlfriends, and said, willy-nilly, over my shoulder, “Draw me a picture!” Because I know Joe is an artist even though he never does it. But I didn’t expect THIS. Champagne bubbles made into hearts. Of course I fell in love with it. My boy is a genius!
Very appropriately, this is Joe’s first cup ~ Champagne Hearts! He will very likely never do another one, not sure I can figure out how I tricked him into this one!🙃
I designed the bottom and the handle, so it was a group effort. From the Heart of our Home.💖 You’ll have them by the end of next week!👏
This one too! The Martha’s Vineyard cup, arriving at the Studio tomorrow, and in case you’re coming to the Island, it’s already available in the shop that carries my things here ~ which, by the way, has changed their name to Vineyard Arts Gallery, it’s still in the same place in downtown Vineyard Haven, and Robin still runs it. And one more by-the-way . . . another reason for you to leave a comment ➡️ Yes! I’ll be sending some lucky person their very own Martha’s Vineyard cup too! It’s an Autumn extravaganza!
This too! Leave a comment to win this Pumpkinhead cup! So far that makes three lucky winners and you only need to leave one comment to be entered for everything! Why you may ask? Because I can! (Writing now, from day after I published this post: Reading the lovely comments ~ can’t answer so many with bad hand, but reading 🤗, loving, sometimes tears, THANK YOU.💞 This is why. We are the world!) I detect a need for cheer and doing my best in this little world of ours, to make some of it for my Girlfriends! And, to make it more fun, the winner of this Pumpkinhead cup will also get a box of my Inspiration Notecards.
Hope you love them!
Jack also wanted me to let you know, in his own unique way (by draping himself on the thing I’m trying to photograph), that the 2020 calendars have arrived! If you preordered, you should have them!
Other good news, our teapot plates are back in stock! We’ve gotten lots of requests ~ sooo happy they’re finally here!
Great for holiday cookies, as a little serving dish and. . .
also looks great hanging on a wall!
And brand NEW, two night lights!
Blue dots on a scalloped porcelain shade!
And little flowers too!
You can read about them HERE.
I have soooo much more to tell you, but this is my first day back at typing and I’ve just been made a wee bit painfully aware, it’s time to stop! I’m only half done! Wah! Guess I will join Jack doing what we do best!
Still eating yummy whole food!
Have devolved to one-finger typing, left-hand ~ but one last thing, I’m reading this helpful book I think you might like.
Interesting book that reminds us of our lovely humanity . . .
We need to remember in our crazy world . . . also, from me to you💞, want to remind:
Don’t forget to leave a comment (one word is fine!) to be entered for Surprise GiveAways! And sign up HERE to have this blog delivered to your email box!
A cat lady like I am just adores that photo of your dear
Jack, bless his heart, and keep photographing him in his
sweet poses.
Lillian
You are so fun and positive. Thanks for making happy days.
What a wonderful idea!
Oh Susan I totally sympathize with your right wrist being broken & casted , I broke my wrist April 2016 . Mine required surgery and plate & pins . I too never knew how much we use our dominant hand ALL DAY LONG with many tasks ! I hope you heal well dear friend -ice will be your best friend after physical therapy .
Love the book shared A NERVOUS PLANET 🌎 -it’s on my list of next to read 👍.
The cups are beautiful 💕 love that Joe is sharing his artistic talents 💫 Penny (Auntie ) from Mt. Rose 🌹
Cheerfully looking forward to the next book, soon?
Oh, it all looks so delicious!
I am erranding so scanned/gobbled it all up and plan to re-read/savor once I’m home again!
Love the mugs!!
Dear Susan -I hope your wrist heals quickly! 2 summers ago I broke my foot and thus began a summer of casts and boots! (Not cute boots either!!) Like you, it made me appreciate the mobility that I had always taken for granted! Rest up and feel better soon!
So sorry about your arm. One year several years ago at the beginning of school, my friend, Anne, who taught 7th grade to my 8th grade broke her wrist. Mis-stepped down a curb. At the same time I was on crutches for a stress fracture of my femur. What a pair we made shopping together at Staples for school supplies. We were a lot of peoples’ laugh for the day.
Love the pictures of Jack draped on everything. I usually grade papers with one or more kitty helpers.
Thanks for what I know was tremendous effort to write the post. As always, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The cups look absolutely beautiful!
Glad your doing better… Happy Fall
I wish you peace and healing.
Love, love, love your little news updates
Your posts always brighten my day! Sending you some quick healing wishes from very HOT Fresno, CA! Still making your Sunshine Dressing as the tomato crop is never ending here. ❤️
Susan, I have been following you for years and I love what you love. Thanks for sharing.
I love the Season’s cups and have 4 wonderful friends who have birthdays in the different seasons. Would make a wonderful gift for each!
Have been a huge, supportive fan for years!!!
Susan,
Oh my goodness, so sorry you broke your wrist. Praying it continues to heal well.
Thank you for the lovely post. The mugs are adorable as are the tea plates. I want some of these.
Take care of yourself,
Edie
Hi Susan,
I hope I can win one of these beautiful surprises. I have always wanted one of your mugs, but I have not been able to order one for myself.
Thank you for this delightful opportunity.
Janet XOXO
Oh, Susan! You’ve done it again! Given us important things to think about, while enjoying the beauty you design for us to gaze at! We all thank you! And …. Jack …..his photos always warm my heart. Elaine of Hartville, Ohio
It is such a pure delight to go to my emails and see a message from you. In this “crazy” world it is nice to be able to read and see beauty and hope. Thanks and please keep them coming. I hope you heal quickly and nicely from your injury. My mother had the same break…since she was a widow at the time, a good friend helped her put on her bra! That is another thing one cannot do with one hand! Take care and be well. Sincerely, Linda
Love all your new products. I always look forward to your blog xoxo
Dear Susan, I am sorry for your injury, a big thank you to your caregiver. Joe is man of many gifts and talents❤️ I hope your healing is progressing smoothly. Love, Betsy
I’m so sorry about your wrist. I’m also extremely right-handed and broke mine on July 4th, 2013. I slipped on a phantom ice cube that had fallen out of the ice dispenser on the freezer door and partially melted on slick vinyl flooring. It hurt so much. I didn’t want to keep all the people who’d come over to go out on the lake on the pontoon to see fireworks from going, so I stayed in with my wrist iced and elevated. The following day I went to an Urgent care and was told it was sprained. Later toward the end of the day an actual radiologist said “Nope that’s a radial fracture. She’ll need a cast. I couldn’t get in until Tues and it had happened on a Thursday, so that’s several days without protection and the darn thing didn’t heal correctly. It looks weird now and still bothers me when I lift a pot of boiling water in a pan with only 1 handle or turn it a funny way that doesn’t even seem like a big deal so I wear a brace if I’m doing a lot of busy work where I could re-injure it. I understand about realizing just how much we use it. I hope your’s heals nicely. I loved all of the quotes about silence. Thank you. It can be such a gift.
Please pick me! I promise I’ll share with my sister, another Susan Branch fan.
Your posts are always so incredibly lovely to read–real balm for the soul. As I am in the process of recovering from an injury myself, I can empathize with the patience, determination, and (yes!) courage it takes to heal. Thanks for this lovely blog and for provide much-needed sunshine in our world.
Susan, there is so much I want to say about this blog post, but can’t keep my thoughts straight.. this is one of those times I wish we were all sitting around a table and having a conversation, haha. I’ll start with the Matt Haig book, because I have it, and it’s helped me SO much. I’ve had a problem with panic attacks since I was 17, and wish I could be free from my anxiety. I follow him on Twitter, and find his posts intelligent and reassuring. And validating.
Also, the new cup you did with the sailboats reminds me of my “discovering” you. It must have been around 1996-97, when I came across your lovely Summer Book… this one came with eight paper bags to be used as luminarias (sp?), and were decorated with sailboats and other summery things. I loved them, took them camping with me, even. Really made my little campsite on the south shore of Long Island especially wonderful.
Dip feet into the ocean in the evening, turn around to see illuminated summery luminarias, instantly know where my temporary home is. 😀
I forget what else I wanted to say, so I’ll end my comment by saying how much I love seeing pics of Jack. He’s a precious baby boy. <3
It’s nice to see a new post from you…..You always bring a smile. So even if I never win a cup or any of your other special gifts that you so kindly share—I feel happier after I read your words, and that makes me a winner, too! Thanks!
Sorry about your wrist, but it doesn’t seem to have slowed you down! Wishing you the best as we fall into Fall (a little corny but, oh well!
Dear Susan, I am so glad for you that your wrist is healing and soon you will have the cast/brace off. And, yes, having an injury to one’s dominant hand/wrist/arm certainly does give a person an opportunity to view life from a different perspective! I once broke both of my arms! Yes, at the same time! I was in my early 30’s at the time, living on my own in Arlington, VA. I tripped over some low, newly planted boxwood along a path from the church (where I had been at evening choir practice) out to the parking lot. It was dark, and path not lit. I did a complete “belly flop”, or “face plant” to use a more trendy term. Obviously my instinct kicked in, and my arms came up in front of me, bent at the elbows, to protect my body/face. So the impact of my fall was taken by my forearms. And, the wind was knocked out of me, too. Well, before I even quite realized what had happened, 2 fellow choir members came up on either side of me, grabbed me under my arms and lifted me up to standing. Everyone was asking me “Are you all right? Are you all right?” I was feeling stunned and embarrassed, so my reply was the classic, “I’m fine! I’m fine!” , as I quickly walked to my car, got in and drove myself the 2-3 miles back to my apartment. As I was shifting gears, I did notice some twinges of pain and thought, hmmmm, maybe I did injure myself. When I got home it was around 9:30 PM, I took my jacket off & felt those twinges of pain again. So I decided to call my Dad…on the West Coast, because, well, who else would I call??? It seemed too late to call anyone locally. My Dad answered the phone and after saying hello, I asked him, in a very calm voice, “Dad, how would you know if you broke a bone?” (My dad had been an athlete and coach, so l knew he’d had experience with this sort of thing.) So, very calmly my Dad starts to explain, and then all of a sudden he says “Why? What’s wrong?!!!”. I reply, “Well, I think I may have broken my arms.” He says, “Arms???!!!” I then tell him about my fall, and he advises me to go to the ER. I say, ok, well I guess I could drive myself there. He tells me that I need to call someone, a friend, or even a taxi. I promise him that I will. By the time we end our phone call, the pain has begun to increase. I call an “on-again/off-again” boyfriend who agrees to come over & take me to the ER. As I am waiting for him I decide to put my jacket on, and just that normal movement of reaching my arm around to put it into the sleeve just about causes me to faint from the excruciating jolt of pain! That is the point at which I realize “Oh, this is serious!!!” Boyfriend arrives takes me to ER. I keep my arms folded and close to my body to brace them from any bumps or jostles. The ER admittance person hands me papers to fill out… I think, “Your kidding!!!”! She indicates boyfriend and says that he can fill them out, but I still have to sign them…even if all I put is an X! Finally, I am seen by a doctor and taken for x-rays. Sure enough I have hairline fractures in the bone just below both elbows. The doctor says the right arm is a bit worse than the left one, and he puts my right arm in a sling, gives me some tylenol 3, the name of an orthopedist to call the next day, and sends me home. Well, it becomes quickly apparent that I cannot do the simplest things anymore! Cannot get undressed and into my nightgown, cannot brush my teeth, cannot wash my face!!! Boyfriend helps me to get into my nightgown, I take the tylenol 3, and get into bed. I’m lying on my back with my arms cradled to my body, and at some point during the sleepless night, I realize: This is NOT going to work!!! One broken arm, maybe, but two??? And I say to my self, “One of these arms is going to have to get better really fast!!!” The next morning I made an appt with the orthopedist and after looking at the x-rays he told me that the break in my left arm was not as bad as the right one and he felt it would heal ok. He said that he didn’t want to put casts on both arms, since that would really incapacitate me. Here is the funny thing, as he was putting the plaster cast on my right arm, I almost fainted!!! After all I’d been through, I guess maybe that I was feeling like I could finally relax. Fortunately, I had sick leave time from my job and my aunt drove into the city and took me back home with her to the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. I stayed for about 10 days, during which time I learned to use my left hand to eat with, brush my teeth and my hair…all the essentials, right? Interestingly, the pain in my left arm became less, very quickly…so I guess it heard my message that first night!!! I do truly believe in the power of positive thinking when it comes to one’s health.
Anyway, dear Susan, I am very happy that you are mending well & quickly! And so glad that you have your sweet Joe to take care of you & your kitty to bring you comfort! Thank you for sharing your stories and your beautiful art with all of us! And for giving the gift of your positive, generous spirit! Sending you love, Barbara (from Reno, NV)
❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️❗️ But you made it!
Happy autumn!
Praying for a swift recovery!
So glad you’re back! Lots of goodies too! TTFN~Lisa
So sorry about your wrist! I am very very left-handed- I found out just how much when I fell, put out my left hand to save myself and broke my left wrist. I did need surgery and was in a cast and brace for 12 weeks!! It was so difficult to teach myself to write and eat and fix my hair with my right hand!! I am a librarian (I love your books!!!) and I wasn’t allowed to lift a book for a long while! I extend all my sympathy to you, Susan!
Susan,
You make my day when I receive your email.
thank you,
Elaine
It’s almost Fall!
Hi, I missed out on the teapot plate before but will hinting for sure for this to come with my shipment of calendars my husband always gets. Thanks for such great items! Get well really soon.
Heart warming💚
I am glad to hear you are recovering from your broken wrist, hope it continues to heal and get better.
Sandy
I never can decide which cup I like the best—but pumpkinhead just makes me smile.
I have been waiting for your nights lights. Beautiful!
Lots of love along with “healing” prayers from Carol in Santa Barbara ( one of your biggest fans!)
Hi Susan, Lovelly, colorful blog this time, but mostly am in love with Jack! Such adorable photos of him. So sorry about your wrist!
I have been missing you but happy you followed Dr. orders to take time to heal otherwise you might have had a setback! I would love to grace my home with your beautiful wares! And it would be extra special if I was one of your lucky winners as I will be turning 66 on September 25! I will still continue to read and be inspired by your Willards! As you can tell I am very excited(using “!”) to be on your site. You are a true girlfiend!! The leader of our pack!!!
Beautiful art on your cups! Your art work takes me back in memory to the innocence of my childhood! Love!
Your posts are always so lovely to read. Love the charm!!
When are you coming back to Denver??
Cheryl
Glad to see you back to blogging!
🤗 Good to hear it wasn’t a bad break, and glad you are on the mend! Anytime we are unable to function as we normally do, due to an injury, boy do you quickly appreciate normal. 😁
wow Susan, you have come such a long way in your artistic endeavors–good on ya! xox, Sandy 🙂
Wishing you a speedy recovery. It’s amazing how little we realize the parts of our body and what we use them for until they are no longer performing their primary functions! Can’t wait to receive my new mugs. I vote for a Christmas edition with Santa & Mrs. Clause in a sleigh to be added to the list.
You are an inspiration! Even with a broken wrist, thinking about what your worlds needs…surprises, up-lifting words, creativity boosts and lovely things. Thank you!
Hi Susan – I recently discovered your blog. Trying to go through all of your archives to soak up the beautiful art, poetry, and music you’ve shared. I love, love, love you! I am an artist in my soul, but an accountant in my practical self. You have inspired me to rid my home of the trendy farmhouse gray and white that currently reflects my decor and return to the beautiful colors, and flowers and lace and cozy quilts and patterned dishes residing in your English Country life. (What was I thinking?) Thank you!
Sounds like you’re having a good recovery. I’ve had to do without my right hand before and it’s not fun. Hope you get good news at your next Dr.’s appointment.
Thanks for this blog post!
Oh, your dear Jack! All cozied up in his blankee. Or maybe it is your blankee.
Very cute picture.
Feel better Susan. I am recovering from rotator cuff surgery and can’t use my arm or even lift a gallon of milk. It is so true that your whole body gets out of whack on injuries to shoulders arms, hands. But keep calm …and carry on!
The winter cup has been one of my biggest regrets because I procrastinated and didn’t order it.
Love that cup!!!!! Take care Susan …no more falling! It can really do you in.
Yes, you are full of surprises. Thanks, Susan.
So sorry to hear about your wrist. I was wondering where you were.
Thanks for the sounds of silence, they are needed in these crazy days.
Hi Susan. So sorry for your injury! Heal quickly! I would love to win the Halloween cup. Have several of your beautiful cups. This one would be a fun addition. Love this blog. Jack is the best! Love ya ox
Thank you for the opportunity to win one (or more) of you cups!
So sorry about your wrist. Take care.
Can’t wait for fall!
Hi Susan ~ happy to see new blog today and hope your wrist all back to normal soon. I’m so ready for autumn weather. Summer has some good things going for it but autumn/fall season is my favorite. When I saw pumpkinhead cup giveaway, I had to leave a comment for chance to win. I do own the Autumn & Summer cups which I love as well as most of your books. My sister who passed away in June gave me my first one “Heart of the Home” many years ago and have been a fan ever since 🙂
Take care & Best Regards,
Sharon
Wishing you quick healing….love your blog and love your tweets! Keep on keepin’ on!
It would make me so happy to win any little thing, thanks Susan!
Hello Susan! All of us in far-away land are so happy to hear from you! The new cups are beautiful! Thank you so much for your blog… it doesn’t matter how close or far apart they come! We will wait patiently! From a dis-placed New Englander! Heal well!
Susan … missed you … glad you are on the mend … so sorry … LOVE you blog today … enjoy the silence too … so many lovely sounds in Nature if we would only listen … take care of yourself with Joe’s help of course.
Love and hugs,
Sorry about your wrist! I’ve had two bad falls this year, leaving me with big bruises and sprains, but no breaks. I am trying to be much more cautious, especially when carrying things! Thankfully, time heals. You have designed lots of pretty things and I’m impressed by Joe’s artistic talent, too!
Love your joke and your ability to laugh with a broken wrist!
I always look forward to your posts. In fact I have a collection of them, as I can’t bring myself to delete them!
Sending you best wishes for total healing and “a good as new” September!
Dear Susan, it’s so good to see you back, cast and all, though I’m sorry for that. Take care, relax, read, listen to music and shoot bands for Jack. Oh wait, well, ok, that might be considered therapy. Sending love and courage for these trying times.
Love you, Susan! Please heal up. Thank you for everything you do.
I love your books and blog posts!
Susan, hope your wrist heals soon!
Elaine
Dear Susan- I can’t tell you how uplifting I find your messages to be regardless of what is happening in this world. Your drawing our attention to the small and big pleasures of life causes me to notice them as well and be filled with gratitude.
All the best to you, gratefully, Lynn
Ps I have received the sweet wee CS Lewis quote pitcher and my 2020 England calendar and am very pleased with them. 🙂
Love your RESOLVE to listen to the quiet when you are stressed. It is the very thing I was doing last night. My husband was outside and when he saw me he asked what I was doing. I told him I was listening to the quiet and smelling the sea air, the scent of the woods and watching the wispy clouds turn from pink to purple as the sun set.
Hello sweet dearie! You are amazing my friend, so happy you are healing nicely and Joe is so good to you, Jack too! Sending happy, healing vibes, you look darling in your picture. OX Wendy-Louise
I love all of your items, so cheerful and soothing. I would love the autumn mug because autumn is my favorite season (by far) and sadly missing here in the desert southwest. I have to get my seasons vicariously so thank you so much for sharing all your Vineyard seasons.
My dearest Susan,
I am SO sorry to hear about your wrist…and to have it be the RIGHT one is especially disconcerting! I hope and pray you heal quickly and can return to your wonderful artwork!
I am SO enjoying my cup that I ordered…there’s nothing like a cup of Early Grey in a Susan Branch design! THANK YOU for being wonderful YOU and sharing your life and loves with us…You are truly an inspiration and I love, love, love reading your blog…I wish you the VERY best!
My best friend just spent their anniversary on Martha’s Vineyard, returned to Florida and
Suffered a strokeI would love to win the Martha’s Vineyard cup to give her a special get well gift.
Sending love and wishes for healing❤️
I’m sorry to learn about your injury. I hope you’ll soon be able to get back to doing everything you love. And awesome about Joe’s cup! I loved the design even before I learned they’re not just Any hearts; they’re🍾 hearts!
I just received my 2020 calendar and I am SO happy. All things Susan Branch make me happy…..always.
I am about to read, for the fourth time, A Little Romance, traveling in the UK. My daughter lives in London and, of course, I gave her a copy as well as to several friends who do not live in London.
I have my culinary lavender ready to make another orange/lavender cake…..SO
scrumptious!
I have already peeked at the 2020 months in order to preview Susan Branch recipes, philosophy, drawings, quotes, recommendations etc, all things that make me happy!
Thank you! 💚
So sorry to hear of your fall and broken wrist, mend quickly. I would love to be entered in your drawings for the giveaways.
Hope you are better soon
I am so sad to hear about your wrist and glad you did not need surgery. Looking forward to the availability of new cups. Thanks for a great blog.
Susan, take good care of yourself. Thanks for all the goodies. I was ready for some window shopping. Epically fun when pointed out by a friend.
Thanks Susan!!!
Heading to England and France tomorrow evening to meet my daughter who is finishing up her Peace Corps service where she spent 2 years in West Africa. So excited to tour London and the countryside but more excited to share the trip with her.
Love your books. Love your blog. Love your art! You make me smile.
Hi! Been wondering about you. Checked several times to see if I had missed a post! I am sorry for your fall and hope your wrist heals nicely. Know you will be glad to get that cast off. Glad that guy of yours is taking good care of you! Take care and be careful!
Your pal in HOT Texas!
I adore your kitty pictures!! They are priceless. We took in a stray cat about two years ago and I have a whole new appreciation for cats. 🙂
Best giveaway ever – and a new bookmark for everyone! Thank-you 💕
Oh how I would love one of these gifts! <3
Oh, to be ambidextrous! I would love to win any of the wonderful gifts but the Pumpkin Head mug and note cards hold a special place in my hopeful heart.
I was so worried that something had happened to you when there was such a long hiatus since your last blog! And although that broken wrist is such a calamity for anyone, it’s even worse for you of the “right hand super talent”! So glad you are on the mend! Perhaps all those medical people needed a dose of Susan Branch magic more than her “girlfriends” did during this past month! We all love you so much!
Susan, I always look forward to your newest Willard. The mugs are all beautiful! Sorry about your wrist. I broke my left one about five years ago when I slipped and fell while camping not far from Lake George in NY. Good luck with PT. I found that an interesting part of the journey as well. Before the ER visit to NY, I had no idea that either event was on my bucket list. Take care!
Hi Susan,
Love the new cups! Your blog always inspires me and comes at the exact moment I seem to need it! Anxious to welcome Autumn…..summer has been too hot in the south this year! Looking forward to the beautiful fall weather and seasonal delights. Keep us posted on your delightful events.
Oh Susan! I’m so sorry, of course it had to be your right hand! Thankful you are getting better, but I have a question! Are you sure you didn’t hit your head? All those amazing door prizes? Just wow! Here’s hoping for any single one of them! Blessings!!
Seeing your picture made me reminisce, so from one gray hair to another, thank you so much. From about a billion years ago, or maybe about 30, when I first found Heart of the Home and learned lots about cooking and little homey things to now. I love our little “conversations” and glimpses of new ideas that have me happy over all these years. Thank you!
Autumn is my favorite season. So glad it is upon us!
