I promised you “a surprise” in my last post (about a hundred years ago, oh my goodness, I’m so late)! MUSICA (nice old Frank)🎶 I don’t usually start things off with a photo of me, but I had to make an exception to add oomph to my explanation for why I’ve been away so long! In the photo, I’m dressed and on my way to give a talk at Island Writes, but you may notice something not quite right.
Yeah, why is she wearing that black glove? What an odd-looking glove. Hey, that’s not a glove! No. It. Is. Not. It is a (stupid) cast for a broken wrist. A broken right wrist. The hand that does everything. So anyway, I broke it a little over a month ago while packing up things for the yard sale. Tripped over bags, hand-to-floor, caught myself, the end. Which also ended the infamous yard sale for this year. Ended almost everything, because I had no idea what all this hand did until I lost it. Besides typing, writing, and painting, it opens cat food cans, washes hair, signs books, holds a freaking fork, puts on earrings, uses scissors, deadheads roses, DRIVES, and chops onions. Hello. At first I couldn’t do any of it, I gave my brain a new kind of workout by practicing writing with my left hand, but one-by-one I’ve been getting things back. And Look Ma, I’m typing! I think I MIGHT get the brace off Sept. 14, my Doctor keeps little secrets to himself, I’ve learned, but I am hoping! It wasn’t a bad break, no surgery; I glowed like a 7 year old when he called me a “good patient.” It’s the little things in life. Yes, physical therapy will follow, but I’ve been doing exercises to keep my arms strong, so I hope normalcy returns soon. Thank goodness for Joe! He’s been taking such good care of me!
But I promised you surprises, and you’re going to get surprises! 🌸 Our Courage Charm has arrived . . . isn’t it wonderful? Gold with a streak of pink that goes all the way around. Pink, the color of nurturing, for yourself, and for others. The color of love.💝
It comes on its own little card . . . the charm is engraved with the words “Courage, Dear Heart . . .”💞
Thought you’d like to see my bracelet . . . I think I have them all so far!
And this? This is not for sale! This surprise of all four-seasons of my cups (which are all sold-out and no longer available anywhere on earth), is for the lucky person whose name gets drawn by Vanna in the next post! I told you I would have surprises! Just leave a comment, and you’ll be entered! It can be for you, or maybe you’ll want to take it apart and make four Christmas 🎄 presents out of it! Leave a comment!’Tis almost the season! Here comes
And this? This is for everyone! A brand new bookmark for all my Anglophile, Corgie-adoring, Queen-admiring girlfriends and the people they love! Just click HERE, print it on card-stock, have it laminated if you like . . . it makes a very sweet stocking stuffer or book-gift accountrement.(In case you’re new here, the bookmark is tucked into a copy of my book A Fine Romance, Falling in Love with the English Countryside.)
And what else? Oh yes, for everyone that preordered and waited so patiently, I’m thrilled to tell you the new cups are scheduled to arrive in California TOMORROW, on Thursday! And yes, I ordered extra so we would have some to last through Christmas, just in cases. The heart cup is another Courage item. The world is so wild these days, we need as much of this as we can get. And there’s another secret about this cup . . .💞
I didn’t design it! I designed a red cup with hearts on it which Joe thought was a little boring, and said, “Why don’t you make it look like champagne?” I said, naturally, “What are you talking about?” He tried to tell me, but I couldn’t picture it, was running out to lunch with girlfriends, and said, willy-nilly, over my shoulder, “Draw me a picture!” Because I know Joe is an artist even though he never does it. But I didn’t expect THIS. Champagne bubbles made into hearts. Of course I fell in love with it. My boy is a genius!
Very appropriately, this is Joe’s first cup ~ Champagne Hearts! He will very likely never do another one, not sure I can figure out how I tricked him into this one!🙃
I designed the bottom and the handle, so it was a group effort. From the Heart of our Home.💖 You’ll have them by the end of next week!👏
This one too! The Martha’s Vineyard cup, arriving at the Studio tomorrow, and in case you’re coming to the Island, it’s already available in the shop that carries my things here ~ which, by the way, has changed their name to Vineyard Arts Gallery, it’s still in the same place in downtown Vineyard Haven, and Robin still runs it. And one more by-the-way . . . another reason for you to leave a comment ➡️ Yes! I’ll be sending some lucky person their very own Martha’s Vineyard cup too! It’s an Autumn extravaganza!
This too! Leave a comment to win this Pumpkinhead cup! So far that makes three lucky winners and you only need to leave one comment to be entered for everything! Why you may ask? Because I can! (Writing now, from day after I published this post: Reading the lovely comments ~ can’t answer so many with bad hand, but reading 🤗, loving, sometimes tears, THANK YOU.💞 This is why. We are the world!) I detect a need for cheer and doing my best in this little world of ours, to make some of it for my Girlfriends! And, to make it more fun, the winner of this Pumpkinhead cup will also get a box of my Inspiration Notecards.
Hope you love them!
Jack also wanted me to let you know, in his own unique way (by draping himself on the thing I’m trying to photograph), that the 2020 calendars have arrived! If you preordered, you should have them!
Other good news, our teapot plates are back in stock! We’ve gotten lots of requests ~ sooo happy they’re finally here!
Great for holiday cookies, as a little serving dish and. . .
also looks great hanging on a wall!
And brand NEW, two night lights!
Blue dots on a scalloped porcelain shade!
And little flowers too!
You can read about them HERE.
I have soooo much more to tell you, but this is my first day back at typing and I’ve just been made a wee bit painfully aware, it’s time to stop! I’m only half done! Wah! Guess I will join Jack doing what we do best!
Still eating yummy whole food!
Have devolved to one-finger typing, left-hand ~ but one last thing, I’m reading this helpful book I think you might like.
Interesting book that reminds us of our lovely humanity . . .
We need to remember in our crazy world . . . also, from me to you💞, want to remind:

Always such a special treat to read your posts in my email. I cherish them and read them in bits so I can savor them throughout the day. I can’t wait to visit Marthas Vineyard one day. I have ordered one of your special cups to help inspire a visit. Take care of yourself. Your inspiration is truly a gift to be savored. Thank you!Thank you!
Thanks Susan for thinking of us even during your hours of pain and healing. Im certain you made the best out of the time you couldnt carry on as normal. Thanks also for the opportunity at the free giveaways.
Hi Susan!
I am so sorry you broke your wrist. I am glad you are mending well. Everything is so gorgeous! I do love the cup designed by Joe. Well done! That book looks really interesting. I just put a copy in my amazon cart.
I hope you have a lovely Labor Day weekend! Please don’t worry about responding to my comment. Rest and heal.
Love,
Terry
So happy you are on the mend! Love reading your blog. Cups look wonderful. Wishing you and Joe a lovely sumer’s end!
oh my goodness! I hope your wrist feels better soon…it’s amazing how much we depend on our hands, some of us wouldn’t be able to talk!…thank you for the giveaway!
Sending up prayers for a complete healing of your hand. I broke mine many many years ago so know how hard it is to get dressed etc. I was a single Mom of 2 trying to take care of them & me and driving a stick shift truck to work every day—so it could always be worse. You will heal!!! I broke my hip in March and still single am managing to take care of me & 5 bedroom house, one indoor cat, and feeding 5 feral cats 2 times a day…it could be worse!! My favorite motto!!! Prayers for Susan!!! Linda from Idaho where it is 95 today .
I love everything you do! Thanks for the joyful newsletter that always makes me happy! I pray that your wrist heals quickly! Much love!
Yayyyy for the return of the tea plates!! I love when doctors make us feel like young ladies or children when we are good patients!! Hope your wrist heals perfectly and you can return to doing all the things you love!!
Aren’t kitty paws divinity : )
Thank you for this beautiful post Susan.
Wishing you a speeeeedy recovery!
I have broken my right wrist (early in life) and right elbow (later in life) and it is SO HARD…blech!
I was newly single-fied for this last one, and I do mean “newly”. Divorcing and in the process of moving out when I tripped on my own two feet in my new sassy-feel-better boots, and landed -splatted- on a concrete floor. AND I was a teacher at the time. Kinda need that second arm for many-many things lol! If not for angels, I don’t think I would have made it through that one. But they are most definitely among us. And you are one of mine<3 Hang in there!
P.S. Thank you thank you for bringing back the Martha's Vineyard mug!!!! You don't know how excited I am. It is such an inspiration to me, and I have been hunting it for quite a while. WON'T miss it this time 🙂
x's and o's from I-da-ho ;))
So sorry for the broken wrist. Take care and heal quickly.❣️
You make the world a little more lovely! Thank you
So happy you are back. I knew there must have been a good reason. Glad you are on the mend.
“…holds a freaking fork…” made me chuckle audibly, and I am so sorry you’re enduring this lack of dexterity. The book you’re reading is so spot on. I teach public school 6th graders in Silicon Valley, and the levels of stress and anxiety are increasing and alarming. I have to literally assign this as homework: go outside and play with a stick for 20 minutes. Not surprising that kids come back shyly to ask if it was ok that their stick found a friend (a leaf or rock) to which I respond, “Absolutely it’s ok. You’re close to PhD level in KID now.” From one Mori girl to another, thank you for writing this. I cannot wait to read Enchanted when it’s released. Your beautiful bound gift of the first chapter is in my classroom. Hugs from CA!

Vineyard Seasons was my first of many Susan Branch book many years ago! Looking forward to the next one!
So sorry to hear around your wrist. I fell last spring in the garden (got tangled up in the hose) and landed with a stiff arm trying to prevent my head from hitting the ground. I broke the radial head in my elbow and was in the same predicament you are in. The good news is that with therapy, I’m back to normal (ha!) and no surgery!
Hope your break heals quickly!! My grandma fell and broke her right arm once and rather than let her relatives and friends out-of-town know, she taught herself to write with her left hand in a couple weeks and resumed her weekly letters to them!! I never understood why it mattered if they knew…but I admired her determination!! But for an artist…my it needs to heal well!! And also, your usual art work, etc will surely be great therapy when you can resume using it more!! Wishing you the best, Elizabeth
I’m so sorry to read that you hurt your wrist; but I’m happy you are back to writing in your blog. I look forward to reading a new entry and seeing what is going on with you. I love your mugs and notecards just so you know! Ha – heal healthy – Jere
So sorry for the injury but maybe God decided you needed a “break” from your routine! Do not worry we will all be here when you get back into life! Love to Joe it’s a great cup!
So sorry about your wrist! Glad you are healing well. Love all that you do and very thankful for you!
So sorry about your wrist. Glad you have been resting as the doc ordered. I’d love to win something…anything will do! All the best to you.
Ouch🍷
I hope your arm is healing well inside your fancy “glove!” Thank you for sharing the two pages from the book. We all need a reminder too live in the more real world and less on our devices…or we will be left to our own devices!
I look forward to your posts! Today was a great day…your post arrioved! And just after reading it I received the latest Victoria magazine in the mail. The bad news? Your broken wrist! But you sound like a trouper! Continue the mending!
Thank you, also, for your inspiration on “dieting”. (Not really dieting just sensible eating!)
I love you Susan Branch. I have followed you for years and with every letter I am inspired. Thank you for all you for everything you give us.
Well, Susan! Only you could start the Fall Season by Falling! Ugh! So glad you didn’t break your wrist! I was re-reading your Isle Of Dreams last night and now I want to make your Corn Pancakes this Holiday Weekend!! Blueberries! I am so tired of August in Arizona – can’t wait for Autumn to begin! Maybe your pancakes will help!
I’m so glad to hear you’re on the mend! It must be so tedious to have a broken arm, especially when it’s the one you use most. Thank heavens for your dear Joe, and speaking of him, what a gorgeous mug you two designed together! You two are the loveliest couple, and you bring so much joy to us all. Hope your recovery speeds along and we soon have you back to normal!
Sorry about the wrist, soon it will be just a memory..
Love the pumpkin head mugs, actually all you mugs !!
Susan…so sorry to hear about your wrist. I feel your pain…I’ve been there twice. In the words of my wise mother, ‘This, too, shall pass!’ (But not soon enough! Ha!)
Your blog is like a ray of sunshine in my day. Thank you for sharing your gift! The world is most definitely a better place because of you.
A friend of mine broke her wrist several years ago, it is amazing how debilitating that was for her. All the best to you, I am glad to have your newsletter in my inbox again!
I love the Champagne Hearts. Joe is a very clever gentleman!!
Hi Susan, So sorry that you injured your hand. I hope it gets better really soon. Thank You for your beautiful website. Please put me in for the drawing.
Hi Susan! Oh no; I’m so sorry to hear that you broke your wrist. 🙁 Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Thank you for your cheerful blog. I love the four seasons cups and the pumpkin cup. I’ve been addicted to pumpkins from the time I was a toddler. I heard on the radio that Starbucks has its pumpkin spice latte back – pure joy! (as long as it’s made with almond or oat milk). I even love the color! So, as you can probably imagine, I am looking forward to Fall! It is my favorite season. In fact, I have on a couple of my Pandora bracelets today and there it is, my Autumn bead! Best regards to Joe and Jack and have a wonderful, happy and safe Labor Day weekend! (We’ll be in Maine!) xoxo
Dear Susan, thank you so much for your letters. I look forward to each one. You are the calm in the storm.
Such a bummer about your wrist…the hardest part to me is trying to brush your teeth with your non-dominant hand. But you have put together a beautiful post despite your injury. The good news is you will be all better in 6 weeks, you’re almost there!
Thank you for this blog post. It was just the virtual ‘hug’ I needed. Sending one back to you and your wrist. 🙂
Love❤️
Hi Susan,
So happy to see you back again, but so sorry to hear about your wrist mishap..Keep healing and getting stronger…you will be good as new in no time…and all of this will be in your rear view mirror…..Please take care, there are so many of us “fans” out here that really want to see and know all about what you are up to….I missed your postings dreadfully…I would check everyday to see if there was something new from you…But now with great understanding, I know why.
I ihave been following you for years and used to be Susan from another island and an artist too! I have moved to a darling Norwegian town called Poulsbo in Washington state, about 12 miles from my old island home…I have a little cottage here and adore the area. Being Norwegian myself, I fit right in!!!!
Hugs to you, Joe and Jack….xoxo noonie (susan)
Hope your wrist mends quickly! I love your blog and your art and especially how you mark the seasons with anticipation and joy!
Oh how happy I would be to win any of these beautiful treasures! Thank you Susan for always inspiring me 🙂
Love all of the new mugs! Thanks for the chance to win 🙂
Susan, sorry about your wrist! I visited Martha’s Vineyard twice in the early 80’s (with future husband of 33 years, btw) on group bike trips from the Jersey Shore. We rode all over the island and got lost one late afternoon where we found a bar/tavern–the rest of our group met us there where we had the best lobster, corn and beer of our lives for $5.00!!! We have to come back–such a lovely place. Keep up your wonderful work!
Hope your wrist mends quickly and completely! I love your art and your blog especially the way you mark the seasons with anticipation and joy!
Lots of wonderful things in your shop! I want to rub Jack’s belly for luck. Glad your injury is healing.
Glad to hear you’re on the mend. Enjoying these last days of summer and hope you are too.
So sorry to hear about your wrist, you have my sincere sympathy. I had surgery on my right hand several years ago for arthritis and I didn’t think that it would be a big deal since I do a lot of things with my left hand. Boy, was I mistaken!! Just like you I couldn’t use scissors, a kitchen knife or drive. I had to get my husband to fasten my bra! I felt like an infant. I had a cast from my fingers almost to my elbow for over two months. I was thrilled the first time I was able to use the vacuum cleaner! Normalcy is highly underrated. Hoping your cast will come off when it’s supposed to. Thanks for another lovely blog, it made my day. PS.I know how much you love Sissinghurst, there is a great article in the October issue of The English Home magazine. I got mine in the mail yesterday.
As always a wonderful blog. So sorry that you had an accident. Take time to heal well. I have shared your books with my daughter now we have another interest in common. Enjoy our wonderful New England weather. Never a dull moment!
So sorry about your hand! Sometimes an unexpected injury like a broken bone gives you time to reflect. Hope you are steadily on the mend.
Always enjoy your blog. Love Joe’s mug!
So sorry about your wrist! I have missed your posts so I am so glad you are on the mend!
Dear Susan,
So sorry to hear of your broken wrist. Healing prayers are sent your way.
Always a bright spot in my day when the blog post arrives in my inbox! I love your cups, I have a few and alternate drinking my morning coffee from them.
Get better soon!
Kathy
Hope your wrist mends quickly! Love your log and your art especially the way you mark the seasons with anticipation and joy!
Your mishap will only make you stronger! BTW, I’m enjoying my proper English tea in my proper Corgi Mug 🙂
You are always an encourager and give great inspiration Susan! I am praying you have complete healing and a full recovery. God bless you! Your “have courage” pieces remind me of a line in the new(er) Cinderella movie. Her mother is about to die and her last advice to Cinderella is “have courage and be kind”. She carries that with her for strength. It is a great reminder in trying times indeed!
Oh, how I love your blog! I always feel so positive after reading your words! I actually copied and cutout your Corgi bookmark when it first came out. And I do love Jack! Him and our Phoebe are identical twins!!
I hope you heal quickly!
Love your blog and your art! Hope you mend quickly!
Was hoping for a post from you, seemed to be too long since the last one! Best wishes for feeling better and getting that cast off.
Check your calcium level. Might need to supplement your diet.
I just love when you post pictures of Jack! It’s my favorite!
Sorry to hear about your wrist Susan, but happy you are on the mend now. I’ve just finished rereading A Fine Romance for probably like the 5th time, but this time I reread it because… I’m leaving for England in 12 days!! This is my first trip and I’m so excited. I’m using your book as a bit of a guide book for things I want to try and see while there.
Hi Susan…. Been wondering about that wrist of yours… good to know you are the right track to recovery. The rehab will really help get the strength back so you’ll be able to write, paint, type, draw, and DRIVE!!!…. among other things… ( like earrings😊). Still sweltering here in Florida and battening down the hatches for the arrival of Dorian…we have all the essentials… water, batteries, flashlights, chocolates, wine and popcorn…hoping for the best of all who will be in her path. Love the new champagne heart cup…well done Joe and Sue♥️
Already starting to dig out my fall decor… talk about the need for a yard sale!! Yikes.. where’d all this stuff come from!! Enjoy this beautiful time of year on the Island … so good to hear from you. Courage. My. Friend.
Love,
Cindy
I was going through withdrawal without new blog posts, but it couldn’t have been as painful as not being able to be creative! Welcome back and here’s to good health!
Isn’t it amazing how a simple accident can change one’s life? Glad to hear that things are mending well.
Hi Susan,
You look lovely in the picture at the top! Radiant, actually!! all that good food and care from Joe!! The new cups look amazing and so do the night lights! Thank you for sharing your art with us! Healing thoughts to you! Kathy
Susan, I am so sorry about your right hand! My husband recently had surgery on his right hand and we also realized how valuable that hand is. I am a long-time follower of your work. You are the best!
Hope doc says all is well
Oh my goodness! So sorry about your wrist. I was wondering why we had not heard from you in awhile. Glad to hear that you are on the mend.
Summer is coming to an end. Although in California, we will probably continue with it at least halfway through October.
You are in my thoughts for a speedy recovery. I imagine that it is quite difficult to do everything with your non dominant hand. Glad to hear that Joe is doing so much to help out.
Thanks for sharing your news. Always such a pleasure to hear from you.
I love your blog, makes me think of sunshine, sorry about wrist, very hard to blow nose or eat a hardboiled egg!
My daughter has an 19 month and 5 week baby and while she feeds baby she is scrolling through her phone instead of bonding, she is trying to stop that habit , but finding it hard, especially as phones are now cameras and we take a LOT of pictures of the babies!!
Keep getting better and keep up the healthy diet.
Why must it always be our dominant side that is injured? What a lovely lot of new goodies you’ve managed to achieve in spite of the difficulties! Thank you for spreading love and courage in these ever changing times.
I hope you heal soon so that you can create more beautiful watercolors. I love your map and cruise ship (ocean liner) pictures. Please create more items with those pictures (stationery, bookmarks, stickers, cups, etc) Also, stationery with lines for those of us that cannot write in a straight line! 🙂
I always look forward to your posts… they make me feel like I’m experiencing all the seasons (which I don’t because… well, Florida. 🥵)
Reading your books over the years has inspired me to make my own “commonplace book”. It’s where I keep everything I want to remember – mostly quotes and recipes!
It also motivated me to create a commonplace book full of handwritten quotes for my son Jimmy’s 30th birthday coming up on September 8th. He’s always said that he liked my handwriting, and I thought this would be a neat memento for him.
Please don’t ever stop creating! You’re wonderful!! 🤗
Oh my goodness! Thank God your wrist didn’t need surgery! YIKES! So sorry for the mishap. Please do take care dear Susan…..
Thank you once again for the opportunity to win one of your coveted mugs. You are such a bright light!
As always, your blog gave me a warm comfy smile. Thank you!
Thank you so much Susan for the chance to win!
Hope your wrist heals quickly, and you’re back to normal!!
Gill x
Sooo nice to have you back, you were missed.
SO nice to hear from you today- I’ve been missing you!!! Hope healing comes quickly… sending you love!
It is amazing what we need 2 hands for- everything it seems!!! Good luck with your recovery. It takes a little longer as we age, so don’t get discouraged. Snail mail will be arriving soon, as I just returned from Scotland. I have a whole new appreciation for A Fine Romance (one of my favorite booKS) after experiencing roundabouts and driving on the “wrong” side firsthand. We almost lost a mirror our first day there!! Hats off to Joe!!!
What a shame about your wrist but you seem to have coped beautifully and creatively! Best wishes for a full recovery and thank you for your unique and addictive blog.
Your website is like eye candy…. I enjoy looking at the pictures but the writing and backgrounds are also a feast! Thank you for the giveaway!!!
Karen G.
So sorry to hear about your wrist😥…I’ve been there! Hope it heals quickly👍😜💖💖
So sorry to hear about your wrist!!! Praying you will be all healed and stronger then ever very soon!!
You giveaways are always so generous! I’m heading to the Isle of dreams in the beginning of October so if I don’t win I’ll have to get those adorable mugs from the shop!
Oh Happy day to you !
I am totally in awe of your artistic talent, I am crafty but am always jealous of your creativity…..hope you are able to get back to full use soon
Heal fast, Dear Friend. Everything you say/write is wonderful, and I wish more people understood life like you do. I love everything you do, and I love the new cups I’ve ordered…even the one that’s still on its way to me. Take care of yourself, Susan, and rest, too! Thank you for being you!
Susan – I am so very sorry to hear about your fall & your broken wrist! But also glad to hear that you are on the mend! I can certainly relate – I had a stroke earlier this year that affected my right side, which in turn has affected how I use my right hand. Needless to say, my handwriting leaves much to be desired since my stroke! At first it looked like chicken scratch, but it has improved a bit. It actually is legible now, but I have to write very s.l.o.w.l.y!!! The good news is that I have always been able to use my left hand in some capacity, so I can write a bit with my left hand. But it is as you say – you don’t realize how much you use your hand/fingers until you can’t! The good news also is that we can both say that we are improving! Sending continued prayers for a super quick recovery!
Pumpkin thoughts and kitty love…
Thank you for your beautiful, uplifting blog…
Thank you so much for everything you do, including knowing England better than me, a native! You don’t know how much your books have helped me through rough times.
Sending healing thoughts for your quick recuperation. I laughed when you mentioned putting on earrings; I had surgery on my right hand earlier this year. No one would ever imagine how hard (impossible) it is to put earrings on with one hand! I, like you, was so very grateful for a supportive husband. Very humbling. Thank you for stretching your comfort with your latest blog. We all appreciate it. Heal quickly my dear. Oh, and I love Jack.
I love all the pictures of Jack. So handsome. Joe did a good job on the cup. I love it. Hoping your get your hand back soon. pam
Your blog is a breath of fresh air!
Mend fast and well.
Praying for hurricane Dorian to just disappear. I hope everyone in its path will stay safe.
Love Joe’s mug and it’s message as much as yours
Hope your wrist is back to normal soon. Do all the rehab every day! It makes a BIG difference. Peggy
Susan, I’m sorry you broke your wrist, but it sounds like an extreme lesson in appreciation for the amazing body parts we have, and for our loving family who care for us. I’m going to look for that book; looks very interesting. You don’t need a hand to read.
All the hearts to you…<3 xos
Susan, I know exactly what you are going through. I had surgery last December on my right wrist and could not use it for months. Left handed learning was tough, but it is amazing to me what I’m able to do left handed now! Always love getting your posts. Take care of that hand.
Dear Susan,
Hope your wrist heals soon. Love the cups. I’ll bet coffee would taste extra good in one!
Susan, I’m so sorry about your hand. I have a niggling fear about tripping and hurting or breaking a arm or leg. I’m moving into a brand new house and I can’t afford to love any function with making a big move. So I’m actually moving very carefully navigating steps. Anyway, in prep for the move I’m unloading old, cheap mugs and replaced with some of your new cups. Can’t wait to use them. And I got a new banner and a British tea towel and just some new stuff. Anyhoo, feel better! T
Mend soon and quickly and well…maybe look at this time as a time of planting ideas that will yield a wonderful harvest at the end of all your mending. I love the night lights. I pretty much love everything. Keep up with the physical therapy.
I have been just dying for the Martha’s Vineyard mug…. it’s quite possibly my favorite thing you’ve made so far. This coming from someone with at least one copy of all your books (3 of Baby Love, because I have 3 babies), I also have at least a FQ of all your fabrics and many many papers, stickers, and scrapbook things. But the mug. It’s just perfection.
Wishing you a speedy recovery!
Dear Susan,
Oh how I needed your post today after the two stress filled mornings of trying to get my granddaughter to school. Her anxiety is off the charts. but we made it. Only 178 more mornings of getting up early and listening to how awful the American school system is. Then I turn on my computer and there is your wonderful post, waiting for me. I’m so sorry to hear about your wrist. In 2003 while visiting my two German exchange students, I fell and dislocated my right shoulder which caused me to develop Reflex Sympathetic Distrophy in my right hand. I, too, had to learn to write and do a lot with my left hand. Trying to teach cursive writing to my third grade students was quite a challenging task. But I did it. It’s nice to be able to use both hands. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Loved your post.
Oh,
Sorry to hear about your wrist! Feel better! I love the bookmark. Thank you!
