Living in AZ I just wish I could make that walk in the mornings….haven’t cooked out in years like that but it would be so great again….beautiful piece…sent my memories a’spinnin’….thanks!
So pretty said,I love your work. Your drawings always make me feel much better.
It’s difficult for me to choose a favorite season. I like each one as it approaches. Fall has all the beautiful colors with cool days and crisp nights. Winter with it’s chill in the air and the fire in the wood stove, inviting me to cozy up with a cup of tea and reflect on life. And then there’s Glorious Spring with all the beginnings of new life and promises of warmer days, followed by Summer with everything in full bloom, calling me to spend more time out of doors. I’m entering a new season in my own life, as my husband has just retired. This means new adjustments for us both, as in the case with the changing of the seasons in nature. But it also means new adventures! 🙂
but HELLO to the most glorious time of the year…..Fall into Christmas makes me tingle all over!!!!! and then the quiet of the winter brings the creative spirit alive in me…..
How beautiful Susan…… Happy Change of Seasons to EVERYONE!!
Blessings,
Joann

Oh Susan… I love this writing…I’m just so proud of you..to go on this wonderful walk each day! So many people who ‘can’ walk…don’t…. Tom & I use to walk miles every day…so now to only be able to walk a block saddens me …but I thank God that we can still walk even if it’s only a short distance! There is always so much beauty out here to see!
Blessings..
xoxo Gert
So true Gert!
I love this! Sounds like heaven on earth to me! xx
I have the wonderful pleasure of living in Alaska in the summer! Fall has approached (and is almost gone!) and the first snow has appearred on the mountain tops. As snowbirds we will head south and get to enjoy Fall all over again!!! The crisp air is my favorite – love to cook more at this time (LOVE your recipes)- the brilliant leaves are like sunshine now! I love your writing – you invite all of us to share your adventures and I always feel like I am right there too! I like to curl up with one of your books – they are like constant cozy friends!!!
I am there in spirit with you and Joe…..what a wonderful daily tradition. I am picturing the beach cottages quiet on the ocean front, the breeze a bit cooler, the sky a brighter autumn blue. Enjoy every minute of your walks….a real simple country pleasure for sure! ♥
I love so many things about autumn, but to me there’s always a sense of poignancy, too. Your walks sound lovely.
Oh Susan, don’t you feel sad for people who don’t live where they can enjoy the changing seasons? I know there are advantages to living where it’s always warm but I wouldn’t trade places for anything ( I live in Ohio). I agree with Laura’s comments. Each season has it’s own wonderful “personality”. Thanks for another great post!
