I’m downsizing my cookbooks and am grateful there are some of my favorites online. I have used this recipe for many years and it’s still one of my favorites. Thank you for having a website where I could find it again! Yummy!

It’s bubbling gently on the stove right now while we have blustery, wet weather outside. Soon cornbread and cherry cobbler will join the menu….yummy. Thanks for the recipe, Susan!

  3. This sounds so perfect to make with your Iowa corn bread. Thank you again, Susan!

This is one of my favs with yummy cornbread…that’s just how they served it in our little town on the Long Beach Peninsula in Washington St. I can’t really stand long enough to cook anymore, but one thing I noticed…no more soaking the beans overnight? If so, that is wonderful! Thank you for enriching our lives with the beauty around you and your wonderful talent! Sue@Seaside

I’ve been making this recipe for several years and we love it! My daughter, who is not usually a bean lover, asks me to make this when she comes home from college. Thanks for the great recipe, Susan!

I have all of your books. If I had a fire in the house, your books will be part of my “grab” if possible. I know I can order them again no matter. I return to your web site and books when I really need COMFORT. I realize when I open the first book my should drop, my body relaxes and I find myself relating…..I am home. I have lived long enough (73) to have experienced some wonderful times, friendships, celebrations and just good living. Your soul through your books and art belong to my soul forever. Thank you for knowing and showing all of us how life needs to be approached for true living and loving.
