WEARIN’ O’ THE GREEN

Of course our blog is wearing green today, it would not like to be pinched!  But I am now on my fourth try to write a new post!  The first three failed because important memories or perfect descriptions have been crashing into my best intentions demanding to be added to the new book before I forgot them.  I will try my best to stay focused here!  This will help . . . MUSICA made in heaven.  First a little something to make your mouth water . . .

susan-branch-irish-stew Happy Saint Patricks Day Everyone!    How’s it going for you so far?  I don’t know if you have a special something you like to make in honor of the day, but this ↑ is our favorite recipe for stew.  It’s very different, it has raisins!  Irish BlessingAnd orange juice!  And cayenne!  And nutmeg of all things!  That’s because I got my hands on it, and thought, those creative Irish, they would forgive me for messing around with their stew.  Yummy, egg noodles, with butter.  Yes.

I know, it says Irish and the only potato is a sweet potato and there’s no Guinness but I would wager you (and that is Irish) that the flavor of this stew will make you jump up to do your own version of  Riverdance, from happiness.

For more wonderful Irish things that don’t make total sense to us go HERE and laugh.  And HERE, for a wee taste o’ some things that make Ireland so wonderful.  And here’s to a day of love and blessed luck for you all! ♣

jack in the basket

Had to show you Jack this morning!  He is in a very feisty mood.  Jack is never in any danger of getting pinched on St. Patricks Day because . . .

jackie

. . . he brings his green with him wherever he goes, he is always Wearin’ the Green.

JackHe knows what the camera is now, because he makes me chase him around and he rarely holds still anymore . . .

JackI get the camera and he begins to jump about or roll around so it’s difficult to focus on him.  I have to take LOTS of pictures before I can get one that isn’t totally blurred into oblivion . . . It’s those green eyes I love so much.

IMG_3930He gets bored with me very quickly though . . . Get that thing out of my face, he yawns  . . . (and please, WOMAN, stop kissing me, I am BEGGING you.  You’re messing with my DIGNITY.)

Bye Bye

Or else I will just leave.  Very spoiled, very sure of himself.

Gladys TaberSo I say, OK, be that way, and go into the kitchen to get my newest Gladys Taber Newsletter to show you.  I wanted you to remember that third thing down, in case you’re interested, and remind you to make your plans because I would love to see you there.

Jack 'n GladysI was trying to show you the article in the Newsletter about the Reunion where I will be speaking and signing copies of A Fine Romance, but of course the minute I don’t pay 100% attention to him, he is back.  Now he wants to play!  I take it any way I can get it.  Whatever Lola wants, Lola gets . . .Stillmeadow

And Lola wants to drape himself on just the parts I would like you to see . . .

Friends of Gladys TaberI hope lots of you are already a member of the Friends of Gladys Taber?  She has been one of my favorite authors for a long time.  The quarterly newsletters are always delightful, interesting, informative, fun and evocative,  I save them … ↑ here are a few of them from years past.  If you’d like to read more about Gladys Taber, find out how to become a member of her fan club, or get better information about the Reunion in June (and tour her house Stillmeadow),  I did a post about her HERE and put the dates and times at the bottom.

Jack the display catI finally got the Newsletter out from under Lola and on top of him.  He took it rather well before he tore out of the room and up the back stairs.  Like a nut.

spring tea

Let’s see … oh yes, well!   I asked my little-old tea-leaves blender for something Cinnamony and Green for spring, and preferably Caffein Free and they sent me a few packets, some more cinnamony than the others, some more flowery, but I think they got it just right with this one . . . it has body and balanced flavor and smells wonderful . . .

spring tea

Only three more days until the first official day of spring.  Last night after dinner, I sat in front of the fire (because spring-schming around here is the real truth) with a cup of my new Spring Tea and read my Newsletter and I almost didn’t care that it was 28 degrees.  (Ridiculous.)

Spring!

I also made us some “Celebrating Spring” cards (2nd row from top) that can be used as Greetings cards for spring or Earth Day, as postcards or Easter Dinner invitations,  or even recipe cards — they’re lined on both sides,  are 4″ x 6″ on nice, heavy, uncoated card stock and come in sets of 25.  Happy Spring!

spring bunny

but not least

Best of Stillmeadow

Even if there is no spring (yet) at your house, I can’t tell you how lovely it is to read about a New England Springtime through the eyes and heart of Gladys Taber.  I think this is my favorite of her books, probably because it was my first, but also because it takes you through every month and each season of the year.  Especially good if you can’t make it to the Friends Reunion for Gladys Taber, this is a little

surprise!

because I am going to sign this lovely book to the lucky one of you whose name is drawn as the winner of this vintage copy (in almost brand new condition) of this out-of-print title published in 1976.  Oh yes!  I found it on a back shelf in a dark corner of a group antique mall on our trip across country and have saved it for today.  Just leave me a comment and you will be automatically entered.

pink

One Last Thing, almost a PS:  There are always lots of fun ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s day, delicious recipes, lots of parades, prayers at church, and bagpipe music; they even dye the Chicago River green.  But for those of you that would like a more sober look at a piece of Irish history, this lovely MUSICA is practically an Irish National Anthem.  There was a story this Sunday in the New York Times  … my girlfriend Lowely (Finnerty) from two doors over, brought some of her famous (still warm!) Irish Soda Bread to help Joe and I celebrate this morning.  We smeared it with butter and ate it while we prayerread the article and listened to the words of this song together.  Then we cried.  I felt like I wanted to add something meaningful to the celebration, so here you go ~ it’s history we never want to forget.  (Spoiler alert: I must say I don’t agree with those that would politicize this subject as was done with this article, just so you know. There is nothing political about hunger and the story is important; as my mom used to say, there is a difference between right and wrong.  I try and think about it the way St. Patrick would wish for me to do and toss in a bit of common sense for luck . We can’t change the past but as Oprah put it so perfectly, “We did then what we knew how to do; now that we know better, we do better.”)  Blessings to us all dearest Girlfriends. XOXO  (Don’t forget to leave your comment for Best of Stillmeadow!)

I read Stillmeadow years ago as a library book. Your comments reminded me and when I went online to check the library catalog, it’s not there anymore! I can only imagine somebody loved it so much they kept it.

    • sbranch says:

I would imagine that could be true, people are always asking me if I have extra copies of this book.

  11. carol pfeiffer says:

I would love to have the book, my twin daughters were born December 2, 1976 and that would make it much more special. Sounds like a wonderful book to add to my collection or my favorites or yours. XOX0 Carol in Shepherdsville, KY.

Seems everyone is related to everyone there 🙂 I’m going to KY next June for that big Maryland to KY reunion they’re hosting in Springfield. Can’t wait to be with family and friends!!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Ms. Susan!!! I will have to try the Irish Stew, it looks yummy. I’m making my colcannon (I use kale and Dubliner cheese in mine though. It is soooo good!) today, wearing my green and listening to Celtic Woman. The only downside is there is snow outside. YUCK!

  14. Kerry S. from San Pedro, CA says:

The corned beef with beef, carrots and onions now in slow cooker! Taking two of our cats to the vet today for annual checkup! Hoping for good news on the older of the two. We’ve had a scary month with one of the cats almost succumbing to a massive internal infection! Yikes! <3
Perfect spring day here today on the Pacific Coast! Didn't feel the earthquake this morning!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day of celebrating our Irish heritage! 😉

  15. Barbara S. says:

Happy St Patricks Day to you Susan. I am enjoying spring time weather here in the south, and everything looks SO green 🙂 The book looks amazing. Thanks for sharing.

  17. Anne in Maine says:

Hi Susan. Lovely spring-like post. I appreciate the bunnies and the lambs. We’re buried under at least five feet of snow here in my corner of Maine. It’s half way up some of the windows at my house. It’s very hard for us to believe that Spring will EVER come so your post is very welcome. I discovered Gladys in our little town library when I first moved to Maine over twenty years ago. After I had gotten my sons on the school bus and before I started my daily chores, I would have a cup of tea, sit in my rocker and read. It was a lovely way to start the day. I remember thinking that she had written those books just for me. I had never run into anyone that had read her books so it was such a wonderful surprise when I discovered you were a fan too. I would absolutely love to win your copy of the Best of Stillmeadow. And knowing it came from you would make it extra special. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! (P.S. Love those green eyes of Jack’s!) Anne

  18. Marcia Sherman says:

I know very little of G Taber and would love to know more.
Maybe Vanna can help me with this….

    Marcia in Sewell, NJ

  19. Lynda Hovan says:

I just love all the paintings in your posts–that little bunny in the garland above is so dear, sigh… But what really made my St. Paddy’s Day was the pictures of Jack. He is so darn cute and funny. He always makes me smile…

  20. Libby says:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Ever since YOU introduced me to Gladys Taber, I’ve loved her stories and feel like she’s an old friend. Would love to read about Spring there!

  21. Happy St. Patricks Day to you! Thank you for the fun post today – especially love the pictures of Jack! Would love the book you’re giving away!

Thanks for the opportunity to win this lovely book!! She is an amazing word-smith! Happy St. Patrick’s Day to ya!

  23. Kathy Cronberg says:

I’m wearing my green and making Irish Stew today. As my mother reminds me, even though I’m adopted, I have plenty of Irish in me from being raised by her! (Who knows what my bloodlines are??) Love the Gladys Taber book – looks beautiful!

  24. Now that I’ve had my Susan and “Lola” fix, I’m set for the day. We had a good chuckle at that young man’s antics.

Yes, please enter me in the draw (if you allow Canadian girlfriends to enter). We’re just getting to ‘know’ Gladys because of you…already I like her.

And I already KNOW I LIKE YOU!!!

Happy St. Patty’s day to you….
Hugs from a Canadian chickadee enjoying signs of Spring here too.

Happy St. Patty’s Day to you! Hope it’s a grand time full of ‘lucky little things’ happening throughout your day!

  27. Holly says:

Hello Susan…..I had joined the Friends of Gladys Taber (I have mentioned before how my grandma had passed down both books, and the love of Gladys Taber to me!), and had planned to come to your book signing, but then I found out that my son’s Tae Kwon Do black belt test is that day, so I won’t be able to come. Otherwise, I would be there! I am disappointed to miss it, but hope that some day I will be able to make it to one of your signings. I will keep an eye out for any new ones that you post 🙂 Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

  28. Joanne says:

I’m wearing a button that says Irish for the Day! I would love the Stillmeadow book! I’ve loved Gladys Taber for years! Would love to live her life!

  29. Cindy Boggs says:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Susan! Lovely post, as always, it brightens my day. We are enjoying a snowy St. Patrick’s day here in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. Would love to win the Gladys Tabor book– how exciting!

Hi Susan, I have only recently discovered your blog and have enjoyed reading your older posts every day at lunch. If you are going to be in Delaware, check out the Winterthur Museum where they are having an exhibit of Downton Abbey costumes, It was wonderful!

  33. Bonnie Schoening says:

I LOVE Gladys Taber and many years ago I actually went and looked at Stillmeadow – obviously could not do more than that but I was thrilled to do that much. I used to have all her books , but we had an extremely destructive little terrorist of a cat at that time and so they all went byebye eventually ( there is some damage that cannot be undone ). Ah well the joys and tribulations of owning cats .Happy St. Patricks Day.

    • sbranch says:

That IS a terrorist of a cat you had!

      • pat addison (cave junction,OR) says:

LOL now that sounds like my little tornadoes Tabitha and Midnight, but I think Midnight is the one who starts it all. they love my yarn basket and spin webs in the living room that make a spider go cross eyed…LOL!!!!

  34. Julia says:

I love the way you share your special treasures with your girlfriends. You have such a generous

    • sbranch says:

I love to give people the things I love UNLESS I know them well, and then I like to give them something THEY love!

  35. I would love to get lost in that book. I just finished reading, once again, The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady. Many deep sighs as I read her wonderful journal. I think Gladys’ book would affect me the same way.

  36. Pam says:

Happy St Patrick’s Day Susan and Joe. Ireland is having a great few days with winning the Rugby six nations at the weekend and now their special day. The book is a lovely prize for a giveaway. 1976 was the year my daughter was born so she is of the same vintage (don’t tell her I said that!!!)

  37. Barb L says:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Loved the pictures of Jack – what a character!

  38. Susan P says:

    Susan,

Not only is The Quiet Man one of my favorites….this music is so great for today….and yes I had to wait for the tears to dry up before I could send you and Joe a Happy St. Patrick’s Day also. Okay okay yes I still have tears in my eyes hahaha Thanks for a great post and it REALLY DID MAKE MY DAY. Oh how cute my grandson just said he likes this music, aaaahhhhh Love, Susan P.

  39. Terese Trebilcock says:

Thank you, Susan, for a lovely taste of spring, as we enjoy what we hope is the last of the season’s snow! I made the Irish Stew yesterday, and it was a great hit!

  40. Jan says:

I look forward to your posts and enjoy re-reading past ones. You wrote about Gladys Taber last year, and I re-discovered her again. As a teen, I used to read her Butternut Wisdom column in Family Circle magazine while sitting under the hairdryer in my mom’s beauty shop. After reading about her in your blog, I recognized her as my ‘friend’ from Butternut Wisdom. Promptly sought books on ebay and in book stores. Would love to have this copy autographed by you! I think you are a modern day Gladys Taber! Thanks for sharing your talent with all of us.

  41. Martha says:

Ohhhhhh what a lovely book!! Susan, you introduced me to Gladys Tabor and I have learned so much!!!! How to be happy no matter what is going on around you; to dream and then live your dream; joy is always tucked within sight and reach; use my senses to know all of life (including my sense of humor); and, when in doubt, fear, sadness, or delight, turn to nature! Wow! That’s a lot!!! Lol happy writing!!!

  42. Allison says:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Cutting out paper shamrocks with my daughters today.

It’s very cold & snowy here in Ontario. Love the lamb cards – spring is coming, right?!

The Gladys Taber book looks lovely. Crossing my fingers!

  43. Linda says:

    Hi Susan

Incredibly I’m a new fan to your blog – I feel like I stumbled upon a hidden treasure. I’m also a Taber descendent (my mom is a Taber) and look forward to discovering the works of Gladys Taber.

      • pat addison (cave junction,OR) says:

may there always be work for your hands to do, may your purse hold a coin or two. may the sun always shine on your windowpane, may a rainbow be certain to follow each rain. may the head of a friend be always near you, may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.

        • pat addison (cave junction,OR) says:

shamrocks for luck, hearts for love, may you always be protected by the Lord above. may your blessings out number the shamrocks that grow, and may trouble avoid you wherever you go.

    Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Susan.

Need to look up G.Taber. I did take your advice and read Beatrix Potter, A Victorian Genius and the Roy Rogers book you mentioned. Enjoyed both.

So many things to comment on in this blog! I love that movie and one of my all time favorite movies is with John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara; McClintock, a western of all things! Who would guess?! They were great on screen together. Living in Pittsburgh now, there is a sense of pride when one sees a movie with your hometown named in it.

My younger daughter, Katharine, makes her own tea combinations on some website, designs the label and they send it to her (she’s into Japanese Manga and tea). So I’m going to order some of that Spring Tea for her, especially since there’s a bunny on the label (I’ll steal the label for my scrapbook layout I’m making of YOU)!

And lastly, I’ve got to show you my mustached kitty, Cleopatra. She could be Jack’s older sister with a broader mustache. I don’t know if this link to my Facebook page will work but here it is: facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=719107638121087&set=a.490819840949869.116516.100000655718085&type=1&theater

So happy to hear from you today! May the Luck of the Irish be with you as you write your new book!

Top ‘O the mornin’ to you too. Here in California we have bypassed Spring and gone right in to Summer. Crazy weather! Have a blessed day.

  52. Sharon in So. Calif. says:

Good morning Susan, we here in So. Calif. were very rudely awakened this a.m. by a 4.4 Earthquake!!!! No aftershocks felt yet. But it did work better than my morning caffeine. Can’t wait to try your new Spring tea. I love those lambie cards too, must get. I will be trying your stew, but today I have 2 corned beefs in the crockpot (company coming) which I had already bought, so next week I will try your recipe, sounds really yummy. I so want that Gladys Tabor book, it is one I don’t have and I am always on the lookout for but never seem to find. I love getting those newsletters too, so informative and your picture is so cute. Wish I could go to Stillmeadow and see you and Gladys’ house. Love Jack’s little saber tooths, as I call them. Well many blessings and Happy St. Patricks Day to you and Joe and Jack and Girl. xoxo

  53. Sharon Avinger says:

Love Gladys Taber and have for years. I have most of her books and have read them ALL – some more than once. I have attended a few of the conventions as well. If you don’t have her book Mrs. Daffodil, Susan, you MUST get it and read it. You will laugh until your sides split!

  54. NANCY JO says:

    Hi Susan,
Happy green day. Hi Jack, good job. Hey how did I miss that book? I thought I had all of her books. I even have a hand written letter of hers that she wrote to my Aunt. Now I need that book. Soooo I will add my name and hope for the best. Hurry spring, need to feel those war summer winds.
    Nancy Jo

  55. Debbie in Goshen says:

How can anyone be anything but happy when they listen to Irish music? You can’t keep your feet still when it is playing. And, today with the very cold temps, moving my feet is helping to keep me warm! The miracle of spring will arrive as it always does….just not soon enough! Thanks (as always) for your fun blog entries.

  56. Diana from Ohio says:

Thanks for the chance to win the book. That is one I do not have. I celebrate St. Patrick’s by re-reading an article I found out about the true St. Patrick. He was a slave as he was taken to Ireland by Druids from England. He finally returned to England but then God called him to go back to Ireland and thousand’s of Irish were saved and became Christians. He baptized 120,000 and started 300 churches. Just a little history of St. Patrick.
Just think spring is Thur. and boy do we need it, 9 degrees this morning. Winter is going to hold on no matter what!

  57. Susan K. says:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I’ve never read a Gladys Taber book, but you certainly piqued my interest. I would love to have my very own book and be introduced to her.

  58. Christi Crown says:

Susan – thank you so very much for the opportunity to win ANYTHING that you would love for one of us to have! I am not familiar with Gladys Taber, other than what you’ve shared, but it makes me think of my stepdad’s family in North Carolina. We rented a beach house from the Taber’s on Wrightsville Beach (where his mom and dad grew up) for years and years until his mom passed. Such nice memories.

  59. Maria says:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Susan. Thanks for pointing out the NY Times article. It’s so important to remember and to remember to do better.

  60. Mary says:

Thanks for the reminder of the Gladys Taber fan club. I have a few of her books (but not the one here) and I hope to attend an event one day, hopefully this June! Even though it’s snowing here now, reading your blog brings a bit of Spring into my day.

  61. Kathryn says:

Happy St. Patty’s Day from northern NJ! I have the corned beef in the crock pot and it smells delicious. Yum!

  62. Susie says:

I have been enjoying your blog for several months now. I quite look forward to them as I simply adore your artwork. You are amazingly talented & so kind to share a little of yourself & your life with us. You have a beautiful home. I particularly liked the blog where the snow was gently falling outside your house. I found out about Gladys Taber through your blog & have since checked out several of her books from our local library. I would be thrilled beyond words to win that lovely vintage copy of her book. Again, thanks for sharing & Happy St. Patricks Day.

  78. Barbara in So.Cal says:

Happy St. Patrick’s day, Susan. We had an earthquake this morning in Calif. It
was a rocking and rolling one that wasn’t that scary for once. Just one so far.
Jack has such mysterious eyes. Your stew looks wonderful. I will try it. Good
luck with your new book. I think it will be a thick one.

  79. Debbie Powell says:

I knew you couldn’t let this day go by without a post, and for that, I am so glad! I am in count down to Spring mode, and I can hardly wait! We had considerable rain last night, and everything seems to have started turning green overnight to celebrate the day! I hope you have a wonderful Saint Patrick’s day! Please enter my name for the book. I am so thankful that you introduced me to Gladys Taber’s writings. I joined her fan club, and I have spent many enjoyable hours with her books. I don’t have this book and would love to add it to my library. Thank you for all that you do!

  80. sandylen says:

It was nice to have a new blog post to read during my office desk lunch. I was really into the St. Patrick’s day spirit this year- decorated my cubicle, made shamrock cut-out cookies twice, and this morning made the filling for a shepheard’s/cottage pie that the family will have for dinner this evening. Hope you enjoy your Irish Stew and wishing that it warms your soul.

  81. sherrill says:

When I was little girl, I always looked for four leaf clovers in our lawn and then when I had children we did the same thing together.
I just love, love, love the photos of Jack!! He has the cutest face!!

  82. Darcy K says:

Woke up to the earthquake here in S. Calif. but “shook” it off. We’ve been having record breaking heat here but the next week should bring more spring like temperatures. My corned beef is in the crock pot and I am off to make St Patrick’s Day cupcakes(with pistachio pudding mix) and a friend brought over mint brownies. Would love the chance to win as it would be my introduction to Gladys Tabor. Thanks!

  83. Laura Anne says:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day to you, Susan!!!!

Are you making the Irish stew for lunch or dinner today? I would love to try your recipe! I will be having Irish soda bread and corned beef and cabbage for dinner.. One of my favorite meals of the year. I am truly looking forward to it – especially on a gloomy and rainy day like today.

“When Irish eyes are smiling, they’re usually up to something.”

  84. Laura says:

Thank you for the recipe for the stew… I think that I’m going to try and make that soon (it’s not in the cards for this very Monday day).

  86. sandy says:

Hi Susan,,,,thank you and bless you for taking time out from your feverish book writing to greet us this St Patrick’s Day. The sun is shining here in the northwest, but breezy and cool. But so pretty to have a sunny blue sky! blessings to you, sandy 🙂

  87. Carole says:

Hi Susan, good morning from (snowy again) Kentucky. I fondly remember Gladys Taber articles in the Woman’s Day magazines and would love to receive this wonderful book. My grandfather’s name was Campbell, but in spite of this , he insisted we were Irish. So Happy St Patricks Day to all. Carole

  88. sandy says:

ps ~ I made your Iowa cornbread yesterday, 2nd time. First time it was wonderful, so good with bee butter and such a lovely texture. yesterday the bottom element in my oven stopped working so it took 3 hours to finish! used preheat and the top got rather overdone. finally cut it in pieces, turned them over, bottom still raw, baked some more and it got there. whew!

  89. Susan in SC says:

The stew may make my mouth water, but the Musica made my eyes water! What a beautiful, beautiful song! I’m still trying to decide if it is a sad tale or a victorious anthem. Thank you for introducing it to me.
Well, back to the kitchen I go . . . corned beef and cabbage and Blarney Stone cookies starting to send wonderful aromas throughout the house. The family will be here before I know it. Happy St. Paddy’s Day to all.

  90. Suzanne Millert says:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day Susan. Please please pick me for your Best of Stillmeadow book drawing. I have one Gladys Taber book. Would love to add to my collection. Love your blog.

  91. Rosanne Murphy (Oregon) says:

Oh, The Stillmeadow book and thinking of Gladys Taber makes me cry bittersweet tears, because it reminds me so much of my mother. She read and loved Gladys Taber books when I was growing up. One of the pleasures I could give her when she was near the end of her life was to find old GT books on Amazon and have them sent to her. She loved that, and I love remembering her. I hope my Murphy Irish luck holds out for me on this giveaway.;)

  92. Angie B says:

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I’m feeling my Irish heritage today and am proudly sporting my green! The book looks wonderful! Thanks for such a neat-o surprise!

    Hi Susan-
Love your blog. Celebrated St. Patrick’s Day yesterday with our traditional dinner of corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots. Hubby and I have different work schedules and different days off so I was able to prepare the meal before he had to work. Delicious!
    Enjoy your day.

  97. Bobbi says:

What a fun, sweet St. Pat’s Day post. So homey, loaded with fun, photos, food, and nice thoughts. I’m going to go make a cup of tea and reread your post.

Thanks for entering my name in the book drawing. I’ll have to google Ms. Taber…the name is very familiar. I think I must have something of hers around here.

Hope your day is as sun filled as ours.

    Bobbi

Would love to have a copy of that beautiful book! Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all…

  100. Georgeann from Texas says:

I would so much love to have the book! Several years ago I had a very nice
collectoon of the Gladys books. I read them and read them until in a fit of
Cleaning out I took them to a local book store and let her sell them for me.
That was possibly twenty years ago and I would love to read them all again!
I just hope they have brought enjoyment to one or more happy readers since then.
How do I join and get the newsletters? Funny how I always thought of her as
an older woman and yet that must be her in the oval picture? Very lovely!

    • Susan ( an Ohio gal in SoCal ) says:

Georgeann – in the blog there is a place to click on about Gladys Taber, where she says ” I did a post about here HERE” ( Here is in purple ) In that post, there will be a way to get to Friends of Gladys Taber. I don’t remember how exactly, but you’ll see it. That’s how I got there.
