Popping in to say hello and Rabbit-Rabbit! I have a brand new post all ready for you, with all kinds of excitement I can’t wait to share, but we’ve had an outbreak of the flu at the Studio and the finishing touches for the new post won’t be available until Kellee gets back on Monday! Don’t worry, she’s already feeling better, it’s just your normal run-of-the-mill horrible flu, poor baby! 🤧 🤒
I hope you’re all getting thawed out from the last few days ⛄️ . . . and geared up for football this weekend, and feeling well yourselves! We’re healthy here, Jack’s telling me to take the weekend off (more time to shoot rubber bands!). But I’m still working on the 2020 Calendars so I’ll keep busy and give you a preview soon! XOXOXO See you! Love . . . me.💞
The new Bella Luna- swoon. Your work is beautiful and brings me joy. Thank you

Happy February, Susan,
Love your blogs! Your artistry inspires, uplifts the dreariest day, and fills life with more joy!
SOOOO glad to finally have a blog update! Thank you! I was in need of inspiration! Well, and it would be lovely to win a treasure. (My favorite thing to do is my mental picture of a beautiful fairy type creature (much more “dolled up” than I would ever be ) swimming beautifully thru all our names… and then… drawing mine !!!!)
She’s my mental picture too! Vanna!
thanks for making a dreary day so bright and full of promise!
Why didn’t you tell me if I was already signed up to get your blog I didn’t need to resign to get the Willard???
They used to be two different addresses. I hope it wasn’t too confusing!
Hello Susan….I have wondered where you were! So glad to see that you are still up and moving (despite the cold weather). Love to see pics of Jack…He is the Cutest! Pick ME ME ME!!!!! Miss Vanna!…..
Susan, you have used your God given talent in a most gifted way. You are a treasure!
Happy valentinesday soon to be!! I wish that you could see my 7ft tree all decked out for valentinesday! hearts and red garland and lace all wrapped round like a Victorian wedding cake. You are my sister of the soul! I love that you inspire in me the same things I love: home and being creative and creating cozy.
Thank you!
Your writings are such a breath of fresh air. I always feel so serene after reading your words and inspired.
Your blog makes me smile through and through. Thanks for the sunshine you bring us!🌞💐Donna
Really enjoyed your Christmas visit with your dear friends, definition of warm and cozy….. so blessed, thanks for sharing ! As for inspiration for a mug I would love to see a pretty mermaid, sandcastles and seabirds…. all pure magic for me. You make me happy with all your gentle views on life. Thank you and have a real nice day.
So great to escape for a little while, in my cubicle at lunchtime while at work in corporate America. Such a bright spot on this dreary winter’s day! Thanks for all your artistry, words of encouragement, recipes and thoughtful ideas! Just beautiful!
It’s so refreshing to read your blog on this gloomy February morning. Looking forward to seeing more of them in the future. Love them!!!
I just love your Blogs Susan…. they just take me to another place … I just click on the music, start to read and I’m transported, just like I am with you books!! Thank you so much you are such a GIFT!! xo
Love your blogs! They are delightful and calm my spirit. A chance to slow down. Happy Valentines 💗
Would love the giveaways since I don’t have a Valentine to celebrate with.
I bet you do. I bet there are tons of Valentines around you. Sweethearts you adore and who love you back.
My library’s Cookbook Book Club spent this past Monday, February 4th talking about your books and eating food we made from them! Most recipes came from Heart of the Home but it’s a big group so we had a variety of books. I also did a giveaway of extra copies of your book that I had on hand (I never know who I’m going to share them with for gifts!)
We had a great time and wanted to tell you that you have gained 10 more fans in northern Rhode Island!
Sweetheart! Thank you Robin. What a fun club you have! xoxo
I love all of your blogs😊 They take me away to a far away place. Away from all the stress and cares of life. I love all of your china and artwork. Thank you for being an inspiration❤
Thanks for the recipe. Can’t wait to make on Valentine’s Day.
Greetings from a not very good watercolorist ( but I enjoy it). Just signed up for the blog from Willard. Would love to be picked! Jessica
Reading this is like escaping to heaven for a little bit. I love seeing that beauty still exists in this world. And I am really hoping for a movie. I know I will purchase it and watch it over and over. If it’s on the big screen, I will be the first in line for sure! Thank you for doing what you do and making us happy. Thank you for sharing so much of your life with us.
This made my day!
With polar vortex sub-zero temps, gusting winds making the snow swirl and the roads treacherous, it was wonderful to get home safely and find a Willard in my email – the perfect way to cozy in and unwind now that I’m in my favorite chair with my own sweet kitty. Thank you Susan for making my world a more beautiful place 🙂
I’m so glad you’re home safe and sound!!!
when those wicked winter winds blow…. this blog warm the heart and soul! its a smile from/to the heart! Thank you!!
A perfect end to my day reading your musings. Such a delight, many thanks xx
I am so sad that Willard will not be sent out separately. Now that your blog has become a political forum there will not be a venue in which to enjoy your thoughts, recipes, and artwork without that from which many of us are seeking a respite. Truly the non-political and enchanting Willard will be missed.
Have you read my blog, Kathryn?
Susan, pls make a ceramic, heat proof large teapot holder for my table?
I love all your designs, so pls yourself and I will be pleased too!
If you already have something in you collection for a hot pot that would work too.
I just want you in my kitchen!
😁
Another heartwarming Willard! Always a pleasure to read your blogs. Thanks for thinking of your “girlfriends”!
I love hearing from you about your corner of the world but your Willard type was so small, I couldn’t read it.
I join all of your girlfriends in saying how much I have enjoyed your Willards and will continue to enjoy your blogs. I have the collection of your first Willards and hope that you will offer the rest of the Willards in a new collection. AND…a bound collection of your blogs would also be welcomed.
So excited about your blog. It’s like taking a mini vacation. I feel refreshed and renewed.
So excited about your blog. A great way to get caught up with all your adventures. It’s like taking a mini vacation.
Just got your email! Always great! I’m a Barnes and Noble manager from Ohio and have been hand selling your ‘A Fine Romance’ Since it first came out! So great to hear the BBC will have it now!
You’re a doll, thank you Laura! xoxo Maybe someday, with the next book, I should come to your store!
Love the blog and especially the mugs! I have been drinking my February coffee out of your Valentines mug!
A cold wet day in Illinois but reading a new Susan Branch warms me up!
Susan, I love your posts and books and calendars and mugs, and, well, everything. I even love your politics. (I follow you on Twitter.) Perfectly aligned with my own. Love from Texas (home of BETO2020).
I hadn’t received your posts for a long time, so I was really happy to sign up again so that I won’t miss anything. On the other hand, now I can binge read all the older posts that I missed.
I was delighted to listen to your selections of 1940’s music, which are my favorite. I’ve often wondered what about the war years, with all the troubles, heartbreak, and separations, is so compelling. I adore movies and music from those sad times. I guess, in a way, they remind me of my parents, and their love story. My mom was 18 and working at a airplane factory while carrying on a long distance romance with my dad, who was a tail gunner on a B 25 stationed on Corsica. Dad’s airplane was shot down over Italy, with the other surviving crew members being picked up and returned to their base the same day. Dad, however, hesitated before jumping out of his aircraft. Unfortunately, he was captured by Italian farm workers and turned over to the Germans. There he was, a twenty year old Kansas farm boy, mistreated and starved in a prison camp until he was finally released ten months later by British soldiers who had captured the prison camp and it’s guards. We have the telegram that was sent to my mom to let her know he was missing in action. Thankfully, he recovered and was sent home. He and mom celebrated 63 years of marriage, and produced four children. They were all so young and brave. Times of war seem to condense lives. Everything has to move quickly, and the outcome is so uncertain. It ended happily for my family, but not so for so many other families.
I guess I got off the subject of your blog, which I so enjoy. I look forward to receiving your posts regularly. Thanks for all the joy they bring.
Adore the entire fascinating subject and all the stories that go with it. Thank you Sherrie!
Honestly was wondering where you’ve been besides on the calendar in my kitchen every day! So happy to receive the email change announcement today…Thank you Susan! You’ve been so busy 🐝 xx
Thank you Susan! Your blog was just what I needed today! I would be thrilled to win ANY of your items, so please enter me into the giveaway!

I can’t wait for your new products!!
30 years ago I spent 5 wonderful years on the Vineyard. It became part of my soul. What you put out to the universe with Willard, your blogg and your wonderful books helps keep me in touch with my own creativity and is always a positive light in my day! All of my girlfriends got Heart of the Home Cookbooks and Calendars for Christmas. Keep spreading the light!!
PS – Your musical taste is just so fun!
😘
Dear Susan and sweet Jack and Joe, you forever and always inspire me! Thank you for being you
Lovely Willard!
My favorite book of yours is “Isle of Dreams” . I can pick it up on any random chapter and just enjoy it all over again. The idea of a movie sounds wonderful. Wishing you all success on this project !
I started this twice on my cell phone when there was only one post but my phone wasn’t completely cooperating. I was sitting with my hubby who is in the hospital with severe bilateral pneumonia and so happy to see your blog pop up. He’s coming along slowly, but thankfully he’s going in the right direction.
I love this post. Perfect time of year for all of us to get our houses in order. The stores are filled with boxes and bins to help us. I remember reading how you take everything out of the room before and thought that was such a great idea. I haven’t taken the furniture out when doing that, but do move it around. I love these new cups too! Must order. Your blog is always a peaceful break, and kind of a little escape, and always brings a smile to my face. And, I actually remembered to say rabbit-rabbit upon waking this month. 🙂 Happy February!
Blessings on you and your husband for a good quick recovery!!! xoxo
Sooooooooo much fun to view your art here while listening to your old record musica ….a good place to be on a cold day…….or just ANY ole day!
Being pretty new to this…I am wondering where MY reply is….I don’t see it anywhere….
Right here!
Back again, trying to find my comment….maybe it has to be checked out first?
Has to be read. By me, in-between designing the new wall calendar!
Oh the joy of all things Susan Branch. Love, love, love!! Makes me so happy to read your blog.
I hope you pick me for the giveaway!! Love it!!
Much to my chagrin, I recently finished “Martha’s Vineyard: Isle of Dreams”–I say chagrin because I loved it so that I did not want it to end! Reading about your little cottage and your journey to publication was insightful and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your work, both in print and online. I also enjoyed your book about traveling through the English countryside and look forward to exploring more of your work in future!
Thank you for your lovely blog and books. I recently re-discovered your website. I would LOVE to win one of your giveaways!
Susan, you’ve asked us to RE-sign up to receive your blogs/Willards. When I followed your directions and got to the place to put in my email address, I was told I am already registered. Has anyone else told you this? Hope I will still continue to get your wonderful posts. Thank you!
You were probably already signed up to receive the blog in your emails . . . so I think everything is okay now!
love, love love all your adorable giveaways!
Love you Susan. You inspire me to be a better homemaker and to slow down and appreciate the things I love.
Enjoyed reading the blog!

The mug has my husbands favorite saying on it and Rod Stewart sings it. My darling passed 9 months ago this morning and I heard the song again this morning and opened up your blog to see it.. it is meant to be♥️
When I had my shop, Sweet Hummingbird Lane I carried all that I could of yours, even your rugs. I closed my shop to care for my love who had Alzheimer’s. I have wonderful memories of many many chats with happy customers while they were in my shop getting your beautiful items. Thank you for all the love you give us all! Xoxoxo…Love, Rose
So sorry for your loss Janine, but love your happy positive spirit. xoxoxo

Hi Susan, Rabbit, Rabbit! I am trying to sign up for the new Willard, but my page does not show the symbols you indicate so I am having trouble understanding where to click. Is there any other way to sign up? Thank you,
I asked [email protected]/~susanbs3/susanbranch/ to get in touch and help you! You should hear from her soon.

Can you tell me what oil you use on your spoons & boards? Love that you are still using your Grandma’s old spoon & the one your Dad made you is so precious.
Here you go, Shirley, all about the wooden things. And thank you!
Your words are most appreciated this day. Your humor and calming ways made me feel so peaceful!! You are a gem, thank you!!
Love the domestic bliss blog!!
I always enjoy your blog and all the charming stories. I’m going to fold my husband shirts like you did very clever.
Hi Susan, I just loved all of your books. I am so glad that you write this blog, so we can stay in touch with your life. I certainly hope your book is made into a movie soon! You have inspired me to come visit Martha’s Vineyard. I am in hopes that you will be doing an event Sept. 6-12 when I am there!
Happy Valentine’s Day to you!
The joy you put into your life and work is so inspiring. Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm and love of life.

Hi, as a non techie lady, not sure if my comment was posted. Also had problem with small areas to fill in- darn vision😁
Thanks for all the sweet words and beautiful illustrations! I look forward to reading and admiring everything!
So excited to preorder new mugs to add to my collection! Just what I needed today, a new Willard to boost my spirits. Having a knee replacement on Feb.13 and will be in the hospital for Valentines Day😥. Thank you Susan for all you do to keep the “girlfriends” happy!
Good luck, Rosemary, you’ll be skipping rope by June!
I love Marie Condo and have read her book and watched the series on Netflix. My house is getting into shape and full of joy! Thank you for supporting her and her quest to help bring joy to our lives!
I have read Marie Condo’s book a few years ago. I watched the series on Netflix as soon as it was available. My house is a joy to be in now. I have organized and given away so much stuff. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on her ways to have joy in your home. She is so cute too.
The last few weeks have been like living on a polar ice cap…subzero weather, blizzard conditions, ice, snow, mess. Your blog reminds me to forget about what is going on outside and think about what is going on inside. We have tried three new recipes this week…including a dutch baby with sausages and apples and cashew brittle. Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow.
How DELIGHTFUL to receive a “new” Willard! Yes, I did sign up again to be sure and have future blog/Willard news sent right to my email! Of course I did! Like
everyone else leaving a comment, I hope I win one of those delightful giveaways! Two days after Valentine’s Day marks our 51st anniversary, so a little present would be -oh so much fun! LOL Win or not, it’s always a treat to read anything you want to share with all your “girlfriends”! Enjoy this Valentine’s Day with your Sweetie. Each and every one of them are so precious!
Thank you for another inspiring post. My mom first discovered your books when you just started out as an author and we’ve been hooked ever since. Thank you.😊
I do enjoy your blog and pictures! It’s such a nice relaxing and inspiring visit with you. Thank you for sharing so much beauty with us all! 🌷
Love all your Art! And the teacups are lovely!
Susan, a woman told me about you when I was living in Nashville, Tennessee, because she heard I too had lived in England and she knew I would love A Fine Romance. I did of course. Then I moved to Central California to help my daughter with baby Eli and I find out you’re from SLO! So I feel close to you knowing we obviously love lots of the same things. Thanks for everything you do.
I love your blog Susan! Always inspires me to bake, knit, create and decorate. I have read all your books. Especially love the story about meeting the Beatles! What fun! Looking forward to the next willard 😄
What a great read this evening as I relax at home on the West Coast waiting for a snow storm (I’ll believe it when I see it)! I’m ready for it, if it does come. Like you, I’ve watched Tidying Up and got inspired. I’ve donated Lots of stuff to our local charity thrift store. It is so refreshing to let things go. And I agree, some stuff I have is not clutter, it’s stuff I use and enjoy seeing out, it makes me happy. Thank you for writing your blog with so many pretty pictures and drawings!
The blog is wonderful. I do miss the full moon bookmark. I used it every month abd found it useful and beautiful. Please bring it back.
One of the reasons I’m combining the Blog with the Willard, I love the moons too and do them every year, from now on you won’t miss them, and here you go for 2019! 💕
My husband and I celebrated our 50th anniversary(we were mere children when we married) on a cruise around the British Isles. Now I want to retrace your steps inside the bounds of England. Loved A FINE ROMANCE. It is my favorite girlfriend gift for 2019. Congratulations for making the BBC Catalogue!
Home making matters. Thank you for reminding those of us who mostly stay at home and make things nicer for our family and friends that our efforts are actually comforting, supportive, and loving! The important stuff of life. Been with you Susan since the beginning, you’ve meant more to me than you’ll ever know. 💞Back at you!
The beautiful part is that we found each other. Very amazing. xoxoxo
You are my inspiration and my favourite gift to share with my old mom. Love your new mugs!
Never taken the time away from enjoying your “lovely wonders” to let you know that when I asked where Susan Branch books were in Barnes and Noble here in Houston, they had your “vineyard books” under Wine.
Love your product, SB!
Perfect! The perfect place to look! 🤣
You are the original Energizer Bunny!
And when is the drawing for your next giveaway? I may have missed it but waiting this long to read your lovely letter to all of us girlfriends. Hope not!
Did you see “A Star is Born”? Lady Gaga isn’t always over-the-top as she shows us in the movie. I’d love to go see her do her Jazz/Piano concert.
So glad to have reconnected ! Love your creative spirit and thank you for sharing!
Love Corgi’s. Thank you for dedicating a mug to them!
Love your watercolors! Your talent is outstanding!
Willard arrived just in time to brighten a rare sub freezing and snowy day in Seattle. It is always a treat to catch up with you, Joe, and Jack. Happy Valentine’s Day!
I so enjoy your books, blogs and Willards! Hope the movie happens!
So glad to have found you again
