Rabbit-Rabbit Girlfriends! Good Morning! MUSICA It’s the glory of love!
Everything good here ~ so far it looks like it might not rain today! A minor miracle on this first day of June considering that it rained all May ~ but, so far, so good, it’s dawning with blue skies! 
Time to turn over the new page on our calendars ~ It’s tea! Perfect timing (how did I know?), because today I’m having twelve best friends for a Farewell Tea Party Twine for a girlfriend who’s moving south! I’m hoping that maybe, just maybe, if the sky stays blue, we’ll be able to have it outside under the arbor!
Our party is at four, so I doubt we’ll need the twinkle lights. But every time I look at that little spot, I think of Mr. Bowditch, who I never met, the man you lived here before us, who built the arbor with his own hands back in the 1950s. He doesn’t know it, but he has given us YEARS of pleasure. He and his wife called the arbor the “Teahouse of the Vineyard Moon.” Romantic people that they were.💞
But I’m still waiting to see if the picnic table gets dried out enough! We cleaned up the dining room just in cases. Jack’s been helping me get ready, but we still have a lot to do. I know everyone is waiting for the drawing . . . So I thought I’d say hello and give us one last day to make sure everyone is signed up for our Luv-lee beautiful cup Giveaway.

I’ll take lots of pictures today, between setting the table, cutting chives in the garden for the tender little egg salad sandwiches and dipping the perfectly ripe strawberries into melted chocolate. Ahhh, tea parties. How I love thee. Have a wonderful day everyone . . . It’s true, to know you is to love you!
P.S. Just saw this photo, wasn’t Jack the sweetest little kitten? He’s under the bed in the Peter Rabbit room in this photo, on his first day home. All ears and mustache! Intelligence shines out around the eyes, don’t you think? 😘

My Grandma Nellie taught me to say Rabbit Rabbit happy new month and we also shared many a cup of tea. She and and my Pop Pop used to share the same tea bag! I would love a chance to have a cup!

Hope it’s not TOO late for TEA for TWO….with your cup being the centerpiece.
I am Kristin’s mom and I know she would love your new cups, as much as I do.
We were lucky enough to go to London together, for her birthday a few years ago.. To say, we could not get enough of the lovely teas, would be an understatement, we do understand your love of the countryside there and only wish we had more time to visit the wonderful places you write about.
Here it is the day after your tea party and I hope the weather co-operated. I’m looking forward to reading about how it went here. Finally, we are in June, after a very rainy May. All flowers are planted here but not the vegetable garden, was too wet to work it up, but hubby rota-tilled it up yesterday so may plant it today.
I too would love to have one of those lovely mugs, so count me in if it’s not too late! Have a great weekend!

Hi Susan, Rabbit, Rabbit and a Happy June to you, Joe and Jack! We’re finally seeing the sun here on Long Island. A warmer weekend but more rain and cool temps next week. We’ve been in a funky weather pattern but I think one morning we’ll wake up and it’s going to be hot and humid. I hope you and Joe are doing well. My MIL, who was from Buckinghamshire County, always kept a fully-set table and afternoon tea. I would love to have one of your mugs! I have a small candy tray that I had bought in TJMaxx quite a few years ago with your artwork on it. That’s around the time Michael’s and your scrapbooking items, which I terribly miss. May has certainly been a rainy month, but everything here is sooo green. It’s lovely. The sun is shining here as well, so I am spending the day in the garden. I haven’t planted yet, as I am still cleaning everything out. Hopefully I’ll have almost everything done before it’s time for afternoon tea. good morning Susan, girlfriends. hmmm the tune that keeps running through my head about now is from Carousel… June is bustin’ out all over. Jack looks so sweet in his kitten picture, he is so adorable. my little gremlins are so full of mischief and fun, they get into everything and have fun doing it. and yes I call them my little gremlins. the hens are getting in their broody mood, so are ducks, looks like I may be borrowing an incubator for hatching out the duck eggs, I would love another busy summer in the barnyard, makes things more fun and interesting. so far about the only busy birds around here are the crows, tons of new baby crows around here.. and are they ever noisy!!! its a nice warm and sunny day here, I think spring finally settled in and is waiting for summer now, the Memorial weekend was complete fun, the boat races are so exciting and the carnival was fun, and the parade was marvelous, this year we were just observers and not participants. we usually drive 2 antique vehicles in the parade, a 1932 ford model A coupe and a 1931 ford model A pickup, but we were having mechanical problems and quite frankly I don’t think folks would appreciate an antique truck going down the highway and backfiring every other mile, could get quite embarrassing especially at 5 in the morning, and lets face it folks prefer their sleep as opposed to being rudely awakened by a loud kaboom every few feet. we just decided to be practical and not wake everyone up on the highway, safer too!!! off to the farmer’s market for fresh veggies, need some fresh tomatoes for spaghetti sauce. have a wonderful day, love much, laugh often and live well. hugs everyone… hugs….. 🙂

I LOVE little Jack! I have two kitties, a short-hair calico named Sadie and a beautiful Ragdoll, named Annabelle. (oh, her beautiful blue eyes!) But, now I want a kitty just like Jack. What a great mustache!!! Of course I love your cups. And those teapots. Who are they made by?
Both are old and neither has any marks on the bottom . . . antique store finds from way back!
Tea and beautiful cups go together! I have my aunt’s darling teacup/saucer/spoon from when she was a little girl……..well over 100 years old now! Susan, you’re a great resource for tea parties!!!
